Հունիսի 14-ին Հայաստանյայց Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցին տոնախմբելու է սուրբ Գայանյանց կույսերի հիշատակը:
Մայր Աթոռի տեղեկատվական համակարգից հայտնում են, որ տոնի առիթով, Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի օրհնությամբ, Սուրբ Գայանե վանք կբերվեն Սուրբ Էջմիածնում պահվող Սուրբ Գայանե կույսի մասունքները:
Ժամը 10:30-ին վանքում կմատուցվի Սուրբ Պատարագ, որի ավարտին կկատարվի նաև Անդաստանի արարողություն:
Դիոկղետիանոս կայսեր օրոք Ս. Գայանեն 37 քրիստոնյա կույսերից մեկն էր, Հռոմի Ս. Պողոս վանքի մայրապետը: Դիոկղետիանոսը հեթանոս էր և հալածում էր քրիստոնյաներին: Կայսրը ցանկանում է կնության առնել կույսերից մեկին՝ Հռիփսիմեին, ով չի համաձայնվում, և նրանք փախչում են Ալեքսանդրիա, այնուհետև՝ Հայաստան:
Հայոց Տրդատ արքան, իմանալով կույսերի հետ կապված պատմությունը, ինքն է ցանկանում տիրանալ գեղեցիկ կույսին: Հռիփսիմեին բերում են պալատ, նրա հետ նաև՝ Գայանեին, որպեսզի Հռիփսիմեին հորդորի չհակառակվել կայսերը: Սակայն Տրդատն այդպես էլ չի կարողանում տիրանալ գեղեցկատես Հռիփսիմեին և զայրացած հրամայում է սպանել բոլոր կույսերին: Գայանեին չարչարել են, գլխատել:
Նրա մարմինը Ս. Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչն ամփոփել է տապանի մեջ և կնքել արքունի, քահանայական-հայրապետական կնիքներով: Հետագայում, հենց այդ վկայարանների տեղում կառուցվում են Ս. Հռիփսիմե, Ս. Գայանե և Ս. Շողակաթ եկեղեցիները:
Qahana.am-ից տեղեկանում ենք, որ Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցում կույսերի հիշատակին նվիրված Ս. Հռիփսիմյանց և Ս. Գայանյանց կույսերի տոները նշվում են Հոգեգալստյան տոնից մեկ շաբաթ անց` երկուշաբթի և երեքշաբթի օրերին: Կույսերի հիշատակի օրերին նրանց անունը կրող եկեղեցիներում մատուցվում է Ս. Պատարագ:
