Հայաստանը ուզում էր լավ լինի, բայց Նիդերլանդները միջամտեց Սև ծովում» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ վրացական Փոթի և ռուսական Կավկազ նավահանգիստների միջև լաստանավային կանոնավոր երթուղու՝ նախօրոք հայտարարված գործարկումը տեխնիկական պատճառներով հետաձգվել է։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Հայաստանի էկոնոմիկայի նախարար Վահան Քերոբյանը։

«Մենք շատ մոտ էինք Փոթի և Կավկազ նավահանգիստների միջև լաստանավային հաղորդակցության գործարկմանը, մնում էր կարգավորել մի քանի տեխնիկական և բյուրոկրատական հարցեր, որոնք կլուծվեին մի քանի օրվա ընթացքում»,- ասել է անդրկովկասյան այդ հանրապետության էկոնոմիկայի նախարարը։ Նրա խոսքով, երբ լուծվել են բոլոր հարցերը, այդ թվում՝ լաստանավերի հետ կապված, որոնք գտնվում էին արևմտյան պատժամիջոցների տակ, առաջացել են այլ հարցեր, որոնց լուծումն ավելի շատ ժամանակ է պահանջում։ Քերոբյանը բացատրել է, որ Փոթի նավահանգիստը շահագործում է մի նիդերլանդական տրանսպորտային ընկերություն, որը լաստանավային ծառայությանը կանաչ լույս տալու համար պետք է թույլտվություն ստանա իր մայր ընկերությունից (նավահանգիստը շահագործում է APM Terminals Poti-ն, որը դուստր ձեռնարկությունն է APM Terminals աշխարհի խոշորագույն նավահանգիստային օպերատորների ընկերության, որի գլխավոր գրասենյակը Հաագայում է):

Նախարարը վստահեցրել է, որ, չնայած առաջացած դժվարություններին, հայկական կողմը համառորեն գնում է կանոնավոր լաստանավային հաղորդակցություն գործարկելուն։ Միաժամանակ, նա նշել է պլան Բ-ի մասին, եթե, այնուամենայնիվ, նշված ընկերությունը թույլտվություն չտա: Այդ դեպքում լաստանավը կգործարկվի Բաթումի նավահանգստից, պարզաբանել է նախարարը։ Նախագիծը նախատեսում է երկու, իսկ ապագայում երեք լաստանավերի ՓոթիԿավկազ նավահանգիստների միջև շաբաթական 2-3 անգամ (կախված ծանրաբեռնվածությունից) նավարկություն: Լաստանավային ծառայությունը մեծ հետաքրքրություն է առաջացրել հայ ներկրողների և արտահանողների, ինչպես նաև ռուսական ընկերությունների շրջանում։ Մեկ լաստանավի թողունակությունը կկազմի 50 բեռնատար ավտոմեքենա և 40 երկաթուղային վագոն։
