Ավստրալիան, Ճապոնիան, Նոր Զելանդիան, Մեծ Բրիտանիան եւ ԱՄՆ-ը հայտարարել են խաղաղօվկիանոսյան նոր դաշինք ստեղծելու մասին:

Նոր կազմակերպության նպատակն է ընդլայնել խաղաղօվկիանոսյան տարածաշրջանի եւ աշխարհի միջեւ համագործակցության հնարավորությունները, ասվում է Սպիտակ տան հայտարարության մեջ։

«Այդ նպատակով հունիսի 23-ին եւ 24-ին մեր կառավարությունները բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներին ուղարկեցին Վաշինգտոն՝ Կոլումբիա նահանգում, խաղաղօվկիանոսյան առաքելությունների ղեկավարների եւ այլ գործընկերների հետ խորհրդակցությունների համար, ներառյալ՝ Ֆրանսիան, ինչպես նաեւ Եվրամիությունը՝ որպես դիտորդ: Այս հանդիպումները հաջորդեցին խաղաղօվկիանոսյան գործընկերների, այդ թվում՝ Խաղաղօվկիանոսյան կղզիների ֆորումի քարտուղարության հետ քննարկումներին։ Դրանք շարունակվում են, այդ թվում՝ տարածաշրջանում աշխատող այլ գործընկերների հետ։ Այսօր մեր հինգ երկրները գործարկեցին ներառական ոչ պաշտոնական մեխանիզմ՝ ավելի լավ եւ արդյունավետ կերպով աջակցելու Խաղաղօվկիանոսյան առաջնահերթություններին՝ Partners in the Blue Pacific (PBP)-ին»,- նշվում է հաղորդագրության մեջ:

«Միասին եւ առանձին-առանձին, մեր հինգ երկրները կմեծացնեն Խաղաղօվկիանոսյան առաջնահերթություններին աջակցելու առկա ջանքերը՝ Խաղաղօվկիանոսյան կղզիների ռազմավարական ֆորումին համապատասխան՝ մինչեւ 2050 թվականը Կապույտ խաղաղօվկիանոսյան մայրաքաղաքի համար: Դրա համար մենք կաշխատենք խաղաղօվկիանոսյան գործընկերների հետ»,- ասվում է Սպիտակ տան հայտարարության մեջ:
