«Ավետիք Չալաբյանի համար օրենք են փոխում, որ կարողանան իրեն ինչքան հնարավոր է երկար հետապնդել ու կալանքի տակ պահել»,-Aravot.am-ի դիտարկմանը՝ Ավետիք Չալաբյանի փաստաբանները հայտարարում են, թե իրենց պաշտպանյալին վերագրվող արարքը նոր Քրեական օրենսգրքում (ՔՕ) չկա, ուստի մեղադրանքը պետք է հանվի, իսկ ՀՀ Արդարադատության նախարարությունից տեղեկացնում են, որ  ՔՕ նոր լրացումներ են կատարել և հարցին՝ ի վերջո այդ արարքը նոր ՔՕ-ում կա՞, թե՝ ոչ, այսպես պատասխանեց Ավետիք Չալաբյանի փաստաբան Վարազդատ Հարությունյանը։

Հիշեցնենք՝ 2022 թ․ մայիսի 12-ին Ավետիք Չալաբյանի նկատմամբ սկսվել է քրեական հետապնդում ՀՀ քրեական օրենսգրքի 163-րդ հոդվածի 3-րդ մասի 2-րդ կետով, որը նախատեսում է պատասխանատվություն հավաքին մասնակցելուն հարկադրելու կամ հավաքին մասնակցելու կամ հավաքին մասնակցելուց հրաժարվելու նպատակով նյութապես շահագրգռելու համար՝ կատարված երկու կամ ավելի անձանց նկատմամբ:

Վարազդատ Հարությունյան Վարազդատ Հարությունյանի կարծիքով՝ հենց Ավետիք Չալաբյանի համար հատուկ այդ հոդվածը ներառել են նոր ՔՕ փոփոխությունների և  լրացումների մասին օրենսգրքում առանց որևէ քննարկման, որևէ ընթացակարգային պահանջի պահպանման․«Հունիսի 9-ին ՔՕ գործողության մեջ դնելու օրենքի նախագծում այլ օրենքի նախագծերի փաթեթի հետ անցկացրել, ընդունել են։ Ուստի արդեն կա այդ արարքը։ Հենց Ավետիք Չալաբյանի համար է դա արվել»։ Փաստաբանը վստահեցրեց՝ ակնհայտ է, որ այդ հոդվածով այս պահին միայն Ավետիք Չալաբյանն է հետապնդվում։ Նա պարզաբանեց․ «Նախագիծը, որի մեջ որոշ տեխնիկական փոփոխություններ կային, վաղուց կար։ Ավետիք Չալաբյանի կալանավորումից հետո, եթե չեմ սխալվում մայիսի 18-ին է նախագծում ներառվել այդ հոդվածը։ Ակնհայտ է՝ այդ հոդվածով այս պահին թերևս միայն Ավետիք Չալաբյանն է հետապնդվում, ու նրա համար էլ դա արել են։ Հակառակ տրամաբանությունը չի աշխատում։ Ստացվում է՝ անցյալ տարի մայիսին քրեականացրել են այս արարքը, կամ էլ նոր օրենսգիրք է ընդունել օրենսդիրը, որում չէր ներառվել այս արարքը։ Մեկ էլ Ավետիք Չալաբյանի նկատմամբ հետապնդում է սկսվում ու մինչև հուլիսի 1-ը բերում, այս նորմը խցկում են փոփոխությունների փաթեթի մեջ։ Հստակ ամենաբարձր մակարդակով Ավետիք  Չալաբյանի նկատմամբ քաղաքական հետապնդում է իրականացվում»։

Վարազդատ Հարությունյանն ասաց, որ նախապես իրենց գործողությունների մասին չի բարձրաձայնում։ Նա վստահեցրեց՝ երբ գործը հասնի դատարան, դռնբաց դատական նիստերի ժամանակ հանրության սեփականությունը դառնան այս գործի բոլոր հանգամանքները, իրենց այն պնդումը, որ սա հստակ քաղաքական հետապնդում է, այլևս որևէ մեկի մոտ կասկածի տեղիք չի տալու։
