Այսօր՝ հուլիսի 9-ին, մեկնարկում է Ավետիք Չալաբյանի կալանքը երկարաձգելու հարցի քննությունը։
Դատավարության ընթացքում ելույթ ունեցավ նաև Ավետիք Չալաբյանը։ «Վերաորակումը, որը պետք է տեղի ունենա, բոլորովին տեխնիկական հարց չէ։ Այն հոդվածը, որը կա այսօրվա գործող քրեական օրենսգրքում, դա կրկնություն չէ նախորդ քրեական օրենսգրքի։ Վարույթ իրականացնող մարմինը բավարար չափով ջանասիրություն չի ցուցաբերել՝ նույնիսկ հասկանալու այդ հոդվածների էությունը։ Նա վերցրել է նույն մեղադրական եզրակացությունը, մի հոդվածը փոխել է մյուսով, բայց չի հասկացել, որ այս հոդվածի կոնցեստում մեղադրական եզրակացությունը պետք է փոխվի նաև։
