Ջո Բայդենը սկսել է Մերձավոր Արևելք այցելությունները

Այսօր սպասվում է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի այցը Մերձավոր Արևելք: Այցից առաջ Բայդենը հասկացրել է, որ Մերձավոր Արևելքն իր վարչակազմի համար առաջնահերթություն չէ, Ուկրաինան, Չինաստանը և ԱՄՆ-ի միջանկյալ ընտրություններն ավելի հրատապ խնդիրներ են: Այդուհանդերձ, ըստ Guardian-ի, որպես նախագահ կատարելով իր առաջին այցը տարածաշրջան, Բայդենը կբախվի աշխարհի արագ փոփոխվող և դեռևս անկայուն հատվածի հետ:
ԱՄՆ նախագահի հիմնական նպատակն է համոզել Սաուդյան Արաբիային նավթի համաշխարհային մատակարարումների ավելացման անհրաժեշտության հարցում՝ Ուկրաինայում Ռուսաստանի հատուկ ռազմական գործողության հետևանքով առաջացած էներգետիկ ճգնաժամը մեղմելու համար: Բայց այն փաստը, որ Իսրայելում և պաղեստինյան օկուպացված տարածքներում երկու օր մնալուց հետո նա անմիջապես թռչում է Ջիդդա, խոսում է զգալի տեղաշարժի մասին. Իսրայելը վտարանդի պետությունից վերածվում է արաբական մի շարք պետությունների դաշնակցի, գրում է պարբերականը:
Բայդենի այցից առաջ տարածվեցին Իսրայելի և նրա մի քանի հարևան պետությունների միջև պաշտպանական համագործակցության զարգացման մասին լուրեր՝ Իրանի և տարածաշրջանում նրա դաշնակից երկրների աճող ռազմական հզորության դեմ պայքարելու համար:
Բահրեյնը, Հորդանանը և Եգիպտոսը, ինչպես նաև Սաուդյան Արաբիան և Կատարը, երկրներ, որոնց հետ Իսրայելը պաշտոնական դիվանագիտական հարաբերություններ չունի, ինչպես հաղորդվում է, այս տարի եգիպտական Շարմ էլ Շեյխ հանգստավայրում գաղտնի բանակցություններ են վարել իսրայելական զինվորական պաշտոնյաների հետ:
Մինչ արաբական երկրները թերագնահատում էին կամ հրաժարվում մեկնաբանել հանդիպման կայացման հարցը, իսրայելցի բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաները Բայդենի ժամանումից մեկ օր առաջ շեշտեցին, որ ԱՄՆ ղեկավարությունը նպաստել է Իսրայելի և նրա տարածաշրջանային գործընկերների միջև վերջին ամիսներին «բարելավված փոխգործակցությանը», և որ աստիճանական քայլեր են ձեռնարկվում Սաուդյան Արաբիայի հետ հարաբերությունների կարգավորման ուղղությամբ:
