Պատմաբան, քաղաքագիտության դոկտոր Արմեն Այվազյանը իր Ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել է․
Այս գիրքս նվիրում եմ 1722 թ. Արևելյան Հայաստանում հայոց զինուժի վերստեղծման և ազատագրական պատերազմի բռնկման 300-ամյակին։
Աշխատության մեջ առաջին անգամ համալիր քննության են ենթարկվում 17-18-րդ դդ. արևելահայության հիմնական ժողովրդագրական ցուցանիշները՝ ընդհանուր թվաքանակը, տարածքային տեղաբաշխվածությունը, բնակչության խտությունը, զորահավաքային ներուժը, բռնի տեղահանությունները, միգրացիաները, Արևելյան Հայաստանի և հարակից տարածքների էթնիկ ու կրոնական կազմը, էթնոկրոնական գործընթացները, ներառյալ բռնի և «կամավոր» իսլամացումը («թուրքացումը»)։ Ներածական առանձին ուսումնասիրությամբ ուրվագծվում է նույն դարերում արևմտահայության մոտավոր թվաքանակը։
Մանրազնին վերլուծությամբ բացահայտվում են 1722-1730 թթ. կազմավորված և Դավիթ-բեկի, ապա Մխիթար սպարապետի առաջնորդությամբ գործած Սյունյաց հայկական զորքերի թվակազմն ու կազմակերպական կառուցվածքը, Սյունիքում ծավալված ազատամարտերի ընթացքում անցկացված զորահավաքները, դրսից այնտեղ ժամանած հայկական ջոկատների թվաքանակը, ինչպես նաև հայոց կրած ռազմական կորուստները։ Ճշտվում են նաև նույն տարիներին Արցախում գումարված հայկական զորքի թվաքանակի աճն ու տատանումները։
Ձեռքբերված քանակական-վիճակագրական արդյունքները մեկընդմիշտ ցրում են այն թանձր մշուշը, որով ցայժմ պատված էին վերոնշյալ պատմաժողովրդագրական ու ռազմաժողովրդագրական իրողությունները»։
