Էներգետիկ խնդիրները լուծելու համար աշխարհը նորանոր լուծումներ է փնտրում։ Վերջին տարիներին արևային էներգիայի աղբյուրների, մարտկոցների ու վահանակների զարգացմանը զուգահեռ աշխարհում նոր միտումներ են առաջանում։
Ամենակարևոր և ամենահետաքրքիր լուծումներից մեկը՝ ջրամբարների վրա արևային վահանակների տեղադրումն է։ Նրանք կարող են շարժվել ցածր արագությամբ և ջրի մակերևույթին ընկնող արևի ճառագայթների օգնությամբ, բավականին մեծ քանակությամբ էլեկտրաէներգիա արտադրել։
Մի շարք ընկերություններ ամբողջական վահանակներ են արտադրում, այդ թվում նույնիսկ բավականին հայտնի ընկերություններից մեկը՝ «Շելլը», որը Հոլանդիայում լճերի վրա միանգամից արևային վահանակներ է տեղադրում։
Նման նորարարությունները Հայաստանում ընդհանրապես գոյություն չունեն, թեև Հայաստանը ունի բավականին մեծ քանակությամբ ջրային մակերեսներ, ինչպես օրինակ Սևանը և այլ լճեր, որոնց մի հատվածը կարող է օգտագործվել արևային վահանակների համար։
Մասնագետները նշում են, թե այդ ջրային, արևային վահանակները կարողանում են բացազատվել ոչ այնքան մեծ տարածքներում, արևոտ եղանակներին կլանել մեծ քանակությամբ էներգիա, արտադրել էլեկտրականություն, իսկ արդեն փոթորկոտ կամ ամպամած եղանակների ժամանակ դրանք հնարավոր է արագորեն հավաքել, կամ էլ հեռացնել դեպի ափը և զերծ մնալ հնարավոր խնդիրներից։
Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը թեև բավականին լուրջ հնարավորություններով լի է արևային էներգիա արտադրելու համար, հետ է մնում ոչ միայն աշխարհում առաջատար դիրք զբաղեցնող երկրներից, այլև անգամ արևային էներգիա արտադրող չափազանց փոքր եվրոպական երկրներից։ Մինչդեռ, մեր երկիրը ունի լուրջ հնարավորություններ ոչ միայն տարածաշրջանում, այլ նաև համաշխարհային մասշտաբներով բավականին լուրջ դիրք զբաղեցնելու արևային էներգիայի արտադրության առումով։
Հատկապես Հայաստանում, որտեղ կա ընդամենը մեկ արևային վահանակներ արտադրող ընկերություն՝ «Սոլարոնը», արևային էներգիայի արտադրությունը ռազմավարական և չափազանց կարևոր տնտեսական ու քաղաքական նշանակություն ունի։ Ըստ էության, բոլոր այս նորարարությունները հարկավոր է իմի բերել, հավաքել, ներկայացնել ոչ միայն պետական իշխանությանը, դրանց համար լուրջ ֆինանսավորման աղբյուրներ գտնելու համար, այլ նաև օտարերկրյա ներդրողների ներգրավել, նրանց միջոցով Հայաստանում արևային էլեկտրաէներգիայի արտադրության ծավալները մեծացնելու նպատակով։
