Չալաբյանը շնորհակալություն հայտնեց բոլոր ներկաներին, ընտանիքի անդամներին, որոնք այս ընթացքում աջակցել են իրեն, ինչպես նաև իր փաստաբանական և հանրային հաղորդակցության թիմին և լրատվական համայնքին։
«Ուզում եմ շնորհակալություն հայտնել իմ բոլոր համախոհներին։ Մենք բոլորս, ըստ էության գտնվում ենք մի պայքարի մեջ, մեր հայրենիքի, մեր իդեալի, մեր իղձերի իրականացման համար, պարզապես այնպես ստացվեց, որ դրա համար տուժողը ես էի այս անգամ և ես որոշ ժամանակով ստիպված եղա իմ ազատությամբ վճարել։ Բայց կարծում եմ,որ այս ամեն ինչը ընդամենը փոքր դրվագ է շատ ավելի մեծ պայքարի համայնապատկերում, որի համար մարդիկ կյանք են տվել, ազատություն են կորցրել, առողջություն են կորցրել։ Ուստի իմ փոքր զոհողությունը ես համարում եմ իմ հայրենիքի զոհասեղանին դրված ընդամենը մի փոքր փշրանք է։ Այդքանով հանդերձ ուզում եմ նորից շնորհակալություն հայտնել բոլորին, իսկապես շատ զգացված եմ, շատ պարտական եմ ինձ համարում այն հանրային ուշադրության, աջակցության համար, որին արժանացել եմ»,– ասաց նա՝ նշելով, որ այլ հարցերի հիմա չի կարող պատասխանել։
Հիշեցնենք, որ Ավետիք Չալաբյանը մեղադրվում է ընդդիմության ցույցերին մասնակցելու նպատակով ուսանողներին նյութապես շահագրգռելու մեջ։
