Ուկրաինայում Հայաստանի դեսպան Վլադիմիր Կարապետյանը Ուկրաինայի հանրային հեռուստառադիոընկերությանը տված հարցազրույցին բարձրաձայնել է Ադրբեջանում պահվող հայ ռազմագերիների հարցը: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Վլադիմիր Կարապետյանը նշել է, որ Ադրբեջանը հաստատում է, որ գերության մեջ է պահում 38 հայ զինծառայողների, մինչդեռ հայկական կողմը համարում է, որ գերիների թվում պետք է լինի ևս 26 զինվորական։
Դեսպանը ընդգծել է, որ ամենաբարձր մակարդակով պայմանավորվածություն է եղել, որ գերիների փոխանակումը լինելու է բոլորը բոլորի դիմաց:
Հայկական կողմը փոխանցել է բոլոր գերիներին, նույնիսկ հանցագործներին, որոնք դատապարտվել են բոլորովին այլ հոդվածներով, այդ թվում՝ մարդասպանության համար։
Դեսպանի խոսքով՝ հայկական կողմն ունի համապատասխան փաստաթղթային ապացույցներ, տեսագրություններ, ինչպես նաև արդեն Հայաստան վերադարձած նախկին գերիների ցուցմունքները։
Կարապետյանը հավելել է, որ ադրբեջանական կողմը բաց է թողել հայ զինվորականների մի մասին՝ ականապատման քարտեզների դիմաց։
«Որպես բարի կամքի դրսևորում, Հայաստանի ղեկավարությունը փոխանցեց ականապատ դաշտերի այն քարտեզները, որոնք մենք մեր տրամադրության տակ ունեինք դեռևս 90-ականներից սկսած՝ ղարաբաղյան առաջին պատերազմի տարիներից»,- պարզաբանել է դեսպանը։
Դիվանագետն ընդգծել է, որ փոխանցված քարտեզները զգալիորեն կրճատել են ականների հետ կապված մահացությունների թիվը։
«Չնայած նրան, որ Ադրբեջանը հրապարակավ և բազմիցս բողոքել է այդ քարտեզների որոշ անճշտության մասով, սակայն դրանք մեր կողմից փոխանցելուց հետո պայթյունների թիվը զգալիորեն նվազել է, և ընդամենը մեկ-երկու մահացության դեպք է եղել: Մեր քարտեզները բավականին ճշգրիտ են, բայց պետք է հաշվի առնել անցած ժամանակահատվածը»,- ամփոփել է Վլադիմիր Կարապետյանը։
