Լուկաշենկոն ասել է, որ ժամանակակիցների հուշարձանների կանգնեցումը չպետք է հարգանքի տուրք լինի նորաձևությանը, և կոչ է արել դրանք կանգնեցնել միայն նրանց, ովքեր իսկապես արժանի են դրան։

«Եթե ինչ-որ մեկը արժանի է` ի սեր Աստծո: Բայց սա չպետք է լինի ինչ-որ նորաձևության միտում»,- պարզաբանել է նախագահը:
