Ստեփանակերտ-Ասկերան ավտոճանապարհին այսօր՝ օգոստոսի 12-ին, տեղի ուենցած ողբերգական վթարի հետևանքով մահացած 4 կանանցից 2–ը հարազատ քույրեր էին: Այս մասին NEWS.am-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց Ասկերանի շրջանի Այգեստան գյուղի բնակիչներից մեկը, որի համագյուղացին են մահացած կանայք: Բնակչի խոսքով՝ ողբերգական դեպքը տեղի է ունեցել աշխատանքի գնալու ժամանակ: «Քույրերը Հադրութից էին տեղահանվել եւ երկու տարի է՝ Այգեստանում էին ապրում։ Վարորդի վիճակը ծանր է, նա մահացած կանանցից մեկի որդին է»,- ասաց նա:

Ավելի վաղ հայտնել էինք, որ օգոստոսի 12–ին առավոտյան ժամը 08:45-ի սահմաններում Մելիքավան փողոցի 19/1 տան դիմացի խաչմերուկում իրար են բախվել ՌԴ խաղաղապահ զորախմբի վարորդ Ի.Յ.-ի (ծնված 1992թ.) վարած «HAVAL H9» եւ Ասկերանի շրջանի Սարուշեն համայնքի բնակիչ Է.Գ.-ի (ծնված 1996թ.) վարած «ՎԱԶ- 2107» մակնիշի ավտոմեքենաները։

Վթարի հետեւանքով «ՎԱԶ- 2107»-ի վարորդը կոտրվածքներով եւ աջ թոքի ստորին բլթի սալջարդ ախտորոշմամբ տեղափոխվել է «Հանրապետական բժշկական կենտրոն»։

Վերջինիս ուղեւորները՝ Հ. Գ.-ն (ծնված 1971թ., Ասկերանի շրջան գ. Սարուշեն), Ն.Դ.-ն (ծնված 1970թ., Ասկերանի շրջան գ. Այգեստան), Լ. Մ-ն (ծնված 1972թ., Ասկերանի շրջան գ. Այգեստան) եւ Ս. Ս.-ն (ծնված 1966թ., Ասկերանի շրջան գ. Այգեստան) տեղում մահացել են:
