«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. «Սուրմալու» առևտրի կենտրոնի աղետից անցել է 9 օր: «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի տեղեկություններով՝ առևտրի կենտրոնում պայթյունի գործով իրավապահները մի քանի կասկածներ ունեն: Վարկածներից մեկն այն է, որ միգուցե առևտրի կենտրոնում ապօրինի արտադրամաս է եղել, որն առնչվել է ոչ միայն հրավառ նյութերի, այլ հենց պայթուցիկ նյութերի հետ: Նշենք, որ օգոստոսի 14-ին «Սուրմալու» առևտրի կենտրոնում տեղի ունեցած պայթյունի դեպքով քրեական վարույթ է նախաձեռնվել, որի շրջանակում բազմաթիվ տնտեսվարողներ են հարցաքննվել որպես տուժող:

Մեզ հասած լուրերի համաձայն՝ այս օրերին քննվում է այն վարկածը, որ պայթած շենքի նկուղային հարկում եղել է հրավառ նյութերի պատրաստման արտադրամաս պայթուցիկ այլ նյութերի համակցմամբ, և իրավապահներն ակտիվ քննում են այդ վարկածը: Ի դեպ, չի բացառվում, որ քրեական վարույթով անգամ հարցաքննված տնտեսվարողները նման տեղեկություն հայտնած լինեն իրավապահներին:

Տեղեկության վերաբերյալ «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը դիմեց ՀՀ քննչական կոմիտեի լրատվական բաժին, որտեղից ի պատասխան՝ հայտնեցին. «Փորձագետների մասնակցությամբ իրականացվում է դեպքի վայրի զննություն, քրեական վարույթով նախաքննությունը շարունակվում է»: Հավելենք, որ առևտրի կենտրոնի պայթյունի հետևանքով կա 16 զոհ»:
