Մեծ Բրիտանիայի թագավոր Չարլզ III-ն իր կրտսեր որդուն՝ արքայազն Հարիին ասել է, որ Եղիսաբեթ II-ի մահից առաջ թագուհուն տեսակցելու համար կնոջ՝ Սասեքսի դքսուհի Մեգան Մարքլի հետ Բալմորալ գալը «սխալ կլիներ»։ Այս մասին գրում է The Sun պարբերականը՝ իրավիճակին քաջատեղյակ աղբյուրներին հղումով։
Պարբերականի հաղորդմամբ՝ Հարին արքայական ընտանիքի անդամներից առաջին է լքել շոտլանդական նստավայրն ու վերջինն էր, ով այնտեղ էր եկել թագուհու առողջական վիճակի վատթարացման մասին լուրերից հետո։ Նշվում է, որ մահից առաջ Եղիսաբեթ II-ին տեսել են երեխաները՝ արքայազն Չարլզն ու արքայադուստր Աննան։
The Sun-ի տվյալներով՝ Հարին գտնվում էր Ֆրոգմոր-հաուսում՝ Վինձոր ամրոցից մեկ կիլոմետր հեռավոտության վրա գտնվող թագավորական նստավայրում, երբ Չարլզը զանգահարել է և զգուշացրել, որ Հարին տատիկին հրաժեշտ տալու համար Բալմորալ գնալիս Մեգանին իր հետ չբերի։
«Չարլզն ասաց, որ Մեգանը չպետք է Բալմորալում գտնվի այդ խորը վշտի պահին։ Նա հաղորդեց, որ Ուիլյամի կինը՝ Քեյթը, ևս չի գալու, իսկ հյուրերի թիվը սահմանափակվելու է միայն ամենամոտ հարազատներով։ Չարլզը հստակ հասկացրեց, որ Մեգանն այնտեղ ցանկալի հյուր չի լինի», - պատմել է պարբերականի աղբյուրը։ Նշվում է, որ Հարին ու Մեգանը մտադիր էին միասին մեկնել Շոտլանդիա, սակայն հոր զանգից հետո Հարին համաձայնել է միայնակ գնալ։
Հաղորդվում է նաև, որ Հարիին հրաժարվել են տրամադրել թագավորական օդուժի ինքնաթիռը, որը Շոտլանդիա է հասցրել նրա եղբորը՝ արքայազն Ուիլյամին, ինչպես նաև արքայազն Էդվարդին ու արքայազն Էնդրյուին։ Պարբերականի պնդմամբ՝ Սասեքսի դուքսն ստիպված է եղել ինքնաթիռ փնտրել Շոտլանդիա մեկնելու համար, ինչի հետևանքով բավական շատ ժամանակ է կորցրել և Բալմորալ է հասել միայն 19։52-ին՝ թագուհու մահվան մասին հայտարարության տարածումից մոտ մեկուկես ժամ անց։
The Sun-ի աղբյուրները նաև հավելել են, որ արքայազն Ուիլիամը Բալմորալից Վինձոր Հարիի հետ չի վերադարձել, ինչը հերթական անգամ փաստում է «նրանց հարաբերություններում սառնության առկայության» մասին։
Հիշեցնենք, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի թագուհի Եղիսաբեթ II-ը կյանքից հեռացել է սեպտեմբերի 8-ին 96 տարեկանում։ Թագուհու մահվան պատճառները չեն հաղորդվում:
Եղիսաբեթ II-ը՝ Գեորգ VI թագավորի և լեդի Էլիզաբեթ Բոուս-Լիոնի ավագ դուստրն է, ծնվել է 1926 թվականի ապրիլի 21-ին Լոնդոնում։ 1936 թվականին, հոր գահ բարձրանալուց հետո, Եղիսաբեթը դարձավ բրիտանական թագի ժառանգորդը։ Նա կրթություն է ստացել տանը, իսկ 1945 թվականին ընդունվել է բրիտանական բանակի իգական դիվիզիա, Երկրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմի վերջում ստացել է կրտսեր հրամանատարի կոչում։
1947 թվականին տեղի է ունեցել Եղիսաբեթի և Հունաստանի և Դանիայի արքայազն Ֆիլիպի հարսանիքը, որը հրաժարվեց բոլոր տիտղոսներից, ընդունեց բրիտանական քաղաքացիությունը և ստացավ Էդինբուրգի դուքսի կոչում։ Նրանք ունեցան չորս երեխա՝ Չարլզը՝ Ուելսի արքայազնը, արքայադուստր Աննան, արքայազն Էնդրյուն՝ Յորքի դուքսը և արքայազն Էդվարդը՝ Ուեսեքսի կոմսը:
1952 թվականին, հոր մահից հետո, Եղիսաբեթ II-ը դարձավ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի և Հյուսիսային Իռլանդիայի Միացյալ Թագավորության թագուհի, Համագործակցության 15 թագավորությունների կառավարիչ և բուն Համագործակցության ղեկավար, Անգլիկան եկեղեցու ղեկավար և զինված ուժերի Գերագույն գլխավոր հրամանատար։
Բրիտանական գահի իրավահաջորդության կարգի համաձայն՝ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի գահը ժառանգել է նրա որդին՝ Չարլզը՝ վերցելով Չարլզ III անունը։ Նա այս տարի դառնում է 74 տարեկան։
