Գեղարքունիքի մարզում ըստ անհրաժեշտության, բնակչությունը տարհանվել կամ էլ պատսպարվել է։ Այս մասին NEWS.am–ի հետ զրույցում ասաց Գեղարքունիքի մարզպետ Կարեն Սարգսյանը։ «Որտեղ գնահատվել է, որ տարհանման անհրաժեշտություն կա, ժողովուրդը տարհանվել է, իսկ որտեղ գնահատվել է, որ ժողովրդին ապաստարաններ տեղափոխելու խնդիր կա, տեղափոխել ենք ապաստարաններ»,– ասաց մարզպետը։ Հիշեցնենք, որ սեպտեմբերի 13-ին՝ ժամը 00:05-ից, Ադրբեջանի ԶՈՒ ստորաբաժանումները Վարդենիսի, Սոթքի, Արտանիշի, Իշխանասարի, Գորիսի եւ Կապանի ուղղություններով հրետանային միջոցներից, խոշոր տրամաչափի հրաձգային զինատեսակներից սկսել են ինտենսիվ կրակ վարել հայկական դիրքերի ուղղությամբ: Հակառակորդը կիրառել է նաեւ ԱԹՍ-ներ: Ադրբեջանական կողմի լայնածավալ սադրանքի արդյունքում սկսված ինտենսիվ փոխհրաձգությունը շարունակվում է։ ՀՀ զինված ուժերը համարժեք պատասխան են տալիս։ Պաշտպանության նախարարությունը տեղեկացնում է, որ հայկական կողմն ունի զոհեր եւ վիրավորներ, տվյալները ճշտվում են: Ժամը 08.00-ի դրությամբ իրադրությունը սահմանին փոփոխություններ չի կրել, հակառակորդը շարունակում է կիրառել հրետանային միջոցներ, ականետներ, ԱԹՍ–ներ եւ խոշոր տրամաչափի զինատեսակներ՝ թիրախավորելով թե ռազմական, թե քաղաքացիական ենթակառուցվածքներ։ Սահմանի որոշ հատվածներում դիրքային մարտերը նույնպես շարունակվում են: Հակառակորդը չի դադարեցնում առաջխաղացման փորձերը: Հավելենք նաեւ, որ ադրբեջանական հրետակոծության հետեւանքով Սոթքում երկու կանայք բեկորային վիրավորումներով տեղափոխվել են Մարտունիի բժշկական կենտրոն, նրանց վիճակը գնահատվում է բավարար։
Ավելի վաղ մեզ հետ զրույցում Սոթք համայնքի ղեկավար Սեւակ Խաչատրյանն ասել էր, որ Սոթքում ադրբեջանական հրետանակոծության հետեւանքով վնասվել է համայնքապետարանի շենքը, մի քանի տուն այրվել է, որոշ տների տանիքներ ու պատուհաններ էլ վնասվել են։
