ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախագահի Նենսի Փելոսիի հայաստան այցը որեւէ կապ չունի որեւէ տրամադրության հետ: Այս մասին Հանրային հեռուստատեսությանը տված հարցազրույցում նշեց ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը՝ անդրադառնալով նրան, որ Փելոսիի այցը ընկալվեց որպես Հայաստանի ցանկություն՝ փոխել իր արտաքին քաղաքական կուրսը, անգամ նշվում էր, որ դրանով Հայաստանը Ռուսաստանին իր տեղը ցույց տվեց:

«Չմոռանանք, որ Նենսի Փելոսին Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի հայկական հանձնախմբի կամ շրջանակի շատ ակտիվ ներկայացուցիչ է: Նրա հետ եկել էին մարդիկ, որոնց Հայաստանում շատ լավ են ճանաչում: Մի շարք հայանպաստ նախագծերի հեղինակներ են: Այսինքն նրանք Հայաստան չեն եկել որեւէ մեկին ընդդեմ:

Հիմա արդյոք քննարկվել է մեր հանդիպումներում Հայաստան-ԱՄՆ հարաբերությունների ակտիվացման հարցը: Այո, իհարկե, քննարկվել է: Ուզում եմ հիշեցնել, որ 2019-ից Հայաստան-ԱՄՆ ռազմավարական երկխոսություն է սկսվել, սա չպետք է ընկալել որպես առանձին վերցրած իրադարձություն: Բայց մյուս կողմից ակնհայտ է, որ շատ կարեւոր ու շատ մեծ իրադարձություն էր, որովհետեւ Ներսի Փելոսին երբեւէ Հայաստան այցելած ամենաբարձրաստիճան ամերիկացի պաշտոնյան էր: Այցը ոչ թե տարածաշրջանային էր, այլ հատկապես այց էր դեպի Հայաստանին եւ ասվեց, որ դա նաեւ հարգանքի դրսեւորում էր մեր ժողովրդավարությանը:

Բայց ես չէի ուզենա այդ այցին հակառուսական կոնտեքստ տալ, որովհետեւ այդ այցը հակառուսական չի եղել: Այն եղել է հայ-ամերիկյան հարաբերությունների խորացմանն ուղղված քայլ: Այո, պետք չի թերագնահատել այդ քայլը»,-հայտարարեց Փաշինյանը:
