Հոկտեմբերի 1-ը Տարեցների միջազգային օրն է, որը ևս մեկ առիթ է ուշադրություն հրավիրելու տարեցներին հուզող խնդիրներին և ջանքեր գործադրելու, որպեսզի նրանք ապրեն արժանավայել կյանքով, շրջապատված լինեն խնամքով և հոգատարությամբ։ Այս մասին հայտնում են ԿՄԽԿ-ից:
Հոկտեմբերի 1-ին՝ Տարեցների միջազգային օրվա կապակցությամբ ՀԿԽԸ Գյումրու շուրջօրյա խնամքի կենտրոնում Ակտիվ երկարակեցության նախաձեռնող խմբերի մասնակցությամբ կկազմակերպվի միջոցառում և հյուրասիրություն, իսկ ՀԿԽԸ շահառու մյուս տարեցներին կացելեն և կշնորհավորեն կամավորները:
Հայկական Կարմիր խաչի ընկերության (ՀԿԽԸ) ծառայություններից մշտական օգտվում է տարեկան ավելի քան 3000 առավել խոցելի տարեց: ՀԿԽԸ կողմից պարբերաբար տրամադրվող մարդասիրական օգնության ծրագրերում ներգրավվում են նաև փախստական, տեղահանված, հաշմանդամ և սոցիալապես անապահով տարեցներ ՀՀ բոլոր մարզերում:

ԿԽԸ կամավորների օգնությամբ Երևանի և Կոտայքի հանրակացարանաբնակ տարեցները ստանում են սոցիալ-հոգեբանական աջակցություն,
Մասիսի ՀԿԽԸ բարեգործական ճաշարանում շաբաթը երեք օր միայնակ տարեցները ստանում են տաք ճաշ,
Լոռու, Շիրակի և Վայոց ձորի մարզերում ներդրված տարեցների ՀԿԽԸ տնային խնամքի մոդելն իր բնույթով եզակի է՝ բուժքույրերից, տնային խնամք իրականացնողներից և կամավորներից կազմված անձնակազմը, կիսելով Կարմիր խաչի միջազգային ընտանիքի լավագույն փորձը, տեղայնացնելով այն և գումարելով տարիների աշխատանքի արդյունքում ձեռք բերված փորձին, շարունակաբար վերապատրաստվում է և կատարելագործում իր գիտելիքներն ու հմտությունները՝ ծառայությունն ավելի ու ավելի արդյունավետ և որակյալ մատուցելու համար,
Տարեցների որակյալ խնամք ենք իրականացնում, այդ թվում նաև՝ անկողնային տարեցների, Գյումրու շուրջօրյա խնամքի կենտրոնում: Խնամող անձնակազմը պարբերաբար վերապատրաստվում է,
Լոռու, Շիրակի և Վայոց ձորի մարզերի Ակտիվ երկարակեցության խմբերում ներգրավված տարեցերի նախաձեռնությունների իրականացման համար տրամադրում ենք ֆինանսական աջակցութուն:
Արագածոտնի, Կոտայքի և Տավուշի մարզերի խոցելի տարեցներին ամեն եռամսյակ տրամադրվում են սննդի և հիգիենիկ պարագաների փաթեթներ,
Կամավորների նախաձեռնության վարսավիրական ծառայություններ են մատուցվում Գեղարքունիքի, Վայոց ձորի, Սյունիքի և Տավուշի մարզերի միայնակ տարեցներին:
