Գյումրիի նախկին քաղաքապետ Վարդան Ղուկասյանը ներկայիս քաղաքապետ  Սամվել Բալասանյանի անունը լսել չի ուզում, քանի որ ըստ նրա` 2015-ին  Գյումրին դատարկվեց,  գյումրեցիները անարդարության ու աշխատանք չունենալու պատճառով լքեցին քաղաքը:

«2015-ը խայտառակ տարի էր, բոլորը լքեցին քաղաքը, Գյումրիում մարդ չմնաց, ամեն երկրորդ տունը մեկ հոգի չմնաց: Քաղաքը դատարկվում է, սոված մարդիկ չեն կարողանում նոր տարի անեն»,- NEWS.am-ի թղթակցի հետ զրույցում սրտնեղեց նախկին քաղաքապետը`պատճառները վերագրելով ոչ թե ՀՀ կառավարության, այլ Գյումրիի քաղաքապետի անգործությանը:

Հարցին, թե իրեն հաջողվո՞ւմ էր այդ խնդիրը լուծել, որ այժմ քննադատում է գործող քաղաքապետին, նա պատասխանեց. «Ամբողջ հանրապետությունում էդքան շինարարություն չի եղել, ոնց որ իմ ժամանակ: 100 միլիարդ դրամի մասնավոր կապիտալի ներդրում է եղել: Մարդիկ ուզում են աշխատատեղեր բացվի, որ աշխատեն, իրենց ընտանիքները պահեն: Ինձ սա է հետաքրքրում: Հլը գնացեք հարցրեք` քանի կոպեկի ներդրում է հիմա արվում»:

Վարդան Ղուկասյանն իր ախոյանի անունը լսել չէր ուզում, դրա փոխարեն  նախընտրեց 2016-ին ուղղված իր բարեմաղթանքները հնչեցնել.

«Ուզում եմ, որ 2016-ին երկիրը խաղաղ լինի, ժողովուրդը հավատա, որ Աստծո ողորմածությունը թափվի մեր երկրի վրա, ազատություն լինի, ճշմարտությունը  չբռնաբարվի, արդար մարդը դասվի արդարի շարքին, պոռնիկը` պոռնիկի: Էնպես լինի, որ ըստ արժանվույն ճշմարտությունը հաղթի: Էն մարդը, որ երկիրը սիրում է, չլքի, չհեռանա էս երկրից, եկեղեցիներն ավելի շատ  հոգեւոր լինեն, վերնախավն ավելի շատ հոգեւորին պատկանի, քան աշխարհիկին, որպեսզի զգա սոված մարդու ղադրը»,-ասաց  Գյումրիի նախկին քաղաքապետը:
