1937- վախճանվել է գրականագետ, մանկավարժ Աբրահամ Զամինյանը:
1961 - ծնվել է կինոռեժիսոր, սցենարիստ, օպերատոր Արթուր Արիստակեսյանը:
1967 - վախճանվել է Խորհրդային Միության հայազգի մարշալ Հովհաննես Իսակովը:
1989- վախճանվել է դիվանագետ Անդրանիկ Մարտիրոսյանը։
2001- Հայաստանում անցկացվել է մարդահամար:
2007-Ստամբուլի դատարանը «Ակոս» թերթի սպանված խմբագրապետ Հրանտ Դինքի որդուն՝ Արաթ Դինքին մեղավոր է ճանաչել «թուրքական ինքնությունը վիրավորելու» մեջ և նրան դատապարտել է մեկ տարվա պայմանական ազատազրկման:
2010- մեկնարկել է «Կինոաշուն» փառատոնը, որի շրջանակներում մեկ ամիս շարունակ Երևանում և չորս մարզերում ցուցադրվել են հայկական ֆիլմեր:
2011-Հայաստանի հավաքականը Դուբլինի Aviva մարզադաշտում 1:2 հաշվով պարտություն է կրել Իռլանդիայի թիմից, որի արդյունքում չի մտել Եվրո - 2012-ի եզրափակիչ փուլ:
2012-բանակին տավարի մսի փոխարեն գոմեշի միս մատակարարելու առնչությամբ հարուցված քրեական գործով կալանավորվել է Կապանի մսի կոմբինատի տնօրենը:
2014-պաշտոնապես բացվել է UWC Dilijan College-ը՝ Դիլիջանի միջազգային դպրոցը:
2018- Երևանում մեկնարկել է Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի 17-րդ գագաթաժողովը: Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի կազմակերպությունում նախագահությունը Մադագասկարից փոխանցվել է Հայաստանին: - ԱԱԾ-ն պարզել է, որ Արմեն Ավետիսյանը բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյա եղած տարիներին ֆինանսավորել է Երևանի Ազատության պողոտայում գտնվող «Գոլդեն Փելես» հյուրանոցային համալիրի կառուցումը, սակայն հյուրանոցի կառուցումը վերագրվել է Կիպրոսի օֆշորային գոտում հիմնադրված ընկերությանը:

1138- Հալեպ քաղաքում տեղի է ունեցել մեծ երկրաշարժ, ինչի հետևանքով զոհվել է մոտ 230 000 մարդ։
1758 - ծնվել է գերմանացի ֆիզիկոս և աստղագետ Հենրիխ Օլբերսը:
1853 -Նյու Յորքում բացվել է ԱՄՆ-ի առաջին քլիրինգային բանկը:
1881 -ԱՄՆ-ի Հյուսիսային Դակոտա նահանգի բնակիչ Դեյվիդ Հյուստոնը արտոնագրել է ֆոտոժապավենը:
1885 - ծնվել է ֆրանսիացի գրող, գրականագետ, Նոբել յան մրցանակակիր Ֆրանսուա Մորիակը:
1887 -ամերիկացի գյուտարար Թոմաս Էդիսոնը արտոնագրել է ընտրություններում ձայների հաշվման էլեկտրոնային հաշվիչ:
1889- վախճանվել է անգլիացի ֆիզիկոս Ջեյմս Ջոուլը, որի անունով է կոչվում էներգիայի և աշխատանքի միավորը՝ Ջոուլ:
1896- վախճանվել է ավստրիացի երգահան, երգեհոնահար և երաժշտության մանկավարժ Անտոն Բրուքները։
1891 -Ստոկհոլմում բացվել է աշխարհում առաջին՝ բաց երկնքի տակ գտնվող էթնոգրաֆիկ թանգարանը, որը կոչվում էր «Սկանսեն»:
1899- սկսվել է Անգլո-բուրական երկրորդ պատերազմը։
1918 - Ֆրանսիայում իրականացվել է առաջին ռադիոկառավարվաղ թռիչքը, որը տևել է մեկ ժամ, իսկ ինքնաթիռը կտրել է 100 կմ հեռավորություն:
