Կաթողիկոսը հյուրընկալեց Արևելքի Ասորի Եկեղեցու կաթողիկոս–պատրիարքին

Հոկտեմբերի 11-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում հյուրընկալեց Արևելքի Ասորի Եկեղեցու կաթողիկոս–պատրիարք Մար Ավա Գ Ռոյելին և նրա գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը։ Այս մասին հայտնում են Մայր Աթոռի տեղեկատվական կենտրոնից:
Ողջունելով ասորի կաթողիկոս–պատրիարքի այցը հայոց հոգևոր կենտրոն՝ Նորին Սրբությունն ընդգծեց, որ հայ և ասորի ժողովուրդների բարեկամական հարաբերություններն ու միջեկեղեցական կապերը գալիս են դարերի խորքից։ Վեհափառ Հայրապետը նշեց, որ առիթներ է ունեցել այցելելու Հայաստանի ասորական տարբեր համայնքներ և շփվելու համայնքների անդամների հետ` հաստատելով, որ վերջիններս պահպանում են իրենց լեզուն և մշակութային առանձնահատկությունները:
Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով Հայոց Հովվապետին ջերմ ընդունելության համար՝ Նորին Սրբություն Մար Ավա Գ կաթողիկոս–պատրիարքն ընդգծեց, որ իր հովվական այցելության նպատակն է մասնակցելու Հայաստանի ասորական համայնքի Սուրբ Մարիամ Աստվածածին եկեղեցու օծմանը, ինչպես նաև խորացնելու և ամրապնդելու եղբայրական հարաբերությունները Հայաստանյայց Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցու հետ։ Կաթողիկոս–պատրիարքը, անդրադառնալով Հայաստանի ասորական համայնքին, նշեց, որ հայաստանաբնակ ասորիները երկրի հավատարիմ քաղաքացիներն են և ըստ ամենայնի իրենց ծառայությունն են բերում Հայրենիքին։ Այս առնչությամբ Մար Ավա Գ պատրիարք-կաթողիկոսը տեղեկացրեց, որ 44-օրյա պատերազմի ժամանակ հայրենիքի պաշտպանության գործում իրենց մասնակցությունն են բերել նաև ասորական համայնքի ներկայացուցիչները և, ցավոք, ունեցել նահատակներ։
Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը խոր ցավով անդրադարձավ ասորական համայնքի կորուստներին՝ վստահություն հայտնելով, որ հոգևոր պետի հովվական այցը մեծ մխիթարություն կբերի իր հետևորդներին։
Անդրադարձ կատարելով տարածաշրջանում ստեղծված իրավիճակին և Հայաստանի նկատմամբ Ադրբեջանի կողմից շարունակվող ագրեսիային՝ Նորին Սրբությունը հույս հայտնեց, որ միջազգային հանրությունը ևս գործուն ջանքեր կձեռնարկի սանձելու հարևան երկրի ոտնձգությունները և պաշտպանելու հայ ժողովրդի իրավունքները։ Հայոց Հայրապետը գոհունակությամբ խոսեց նաև արցախյան 44-օրյա պատերազմի ժամանակ Քույր եկեղեցիների՝ Հայ Եկեղեցուն և ժողովրդին ցուցաբերած աջակցության մասին։
Հանդիպմանն Արևելքի Ասորի Եկեղեցու կաթողիկոս–պատրիարքը մաղթեց, որ Տիրոջ օրհությամբ խաղաղությունն ու արդարությունը հաստավեն տարածաշրջանում։
