Սեպտեմբերի 12-ի լույս 13-ի գիշերը ադրբեջանական ագրեսիայի հետեւանքով զոհվել է պարտադիր ժամկետային զինծառայող Անդրանիկ Վարդանյանը։
19-ամյա Անդրանիկը փետրվարին պետք է զորացրվեր։ Նա վարորդ էր, ծառայում էր Ջերմուկում։
«13-ի առավոտյան զանգահարել է հորը, ասել է՝ մի մտածեք, ես եւ ընկերներս մեր դիրքը չենք թողնի, եթե թողնենք էլ, միայն մեր կյանքի գնով։ Մեր դիրքից հետո Երեւանն է։ 13-ից հետո մենք Անդրանիկից տեղեկություն չենք ունեցել մինչեւ ԴՆԹ-ի պատասխանը գալը»,- NEWS.am-ի հետ զրույցում պատմեց Անդրանիկի հորեղբայրը՝ Նարեկ Վարդանյանը։
Անդրանիկը եղել է սեպտեմբերի 20-ին Հայաստանին փոխանցված 95 զոհված զինծառայողների թվում։ Նա զոհվել է գլխի հատվածում ստացած բեկորային վնասվածքներից։
Անդրանիկը Երեւանից էր, ցանկանում էր ճարտարապետ դառնալ։ Նա հուղարկավորված է «Եռաբլուր» զինվորական պանթեոնում։
Հիշեցնենք, որ սեպտեմբերի 13-ին՝ ժամը 00:05-ից, Ադրբեջանի ԶՈՒ ստորաբաժանումները սահմանի ողջ երկայնքով հրետանային միջոցներից, խոշոր տրամաչափի հրաձգային զինատեսակներից սկսել էին ինտենսիվ կրակ վարել հայկական դիրքերի ուղղությամբ՝ կիրառելով նաեւ ԱԹՍ-ներ: Հակառակորդը հարվածում էր թե՛ ռազմական, թե՛ քաղաքացիական օբյեկտներին։
Պաշտպանության նախարարության հաղորդմամբ՝ սեպտեմբերի 14–ին, ժամը 20։00–ից բոլոր ուղղություններով կրակը գրեթե դադարել է, էական միջադեպեր չեն արձանագրվել։
Վերջին տվյալով՝ զոհվածների եւ անհետ կորածների թիվը գերազանցում է 210-ը։ Վիրավորվել է 293 զինծառայող եւ 8 խաղաղ բնակիչ։ Սեպտեմբերի 17-ին ադրբեջանական կողմը 32 զինծառայողի մարմին էր փոխանցել հայկական կողմին, սեպտեմբերի 20-ին՝ 95, իսկ սեպտեմբերի 23–ին՝ եւս 6 մարմին։ Գերեվարվել էր 20 զինծառայող։ Հոկտեմբերի 4–ին, ադրբեջանական կողմը ԱՄՆ միջնորդությամբ, հայկական կողմին է վերադարձրել 17 հայ ռազմագերիների։
