Հայ թուրքական սահմանից մի քանի մետր այս կողմ գտնվող Մարգարա գյուղ մտնելն առանց անձը հաստատող փաստաթղթի ցանկացած քաղաքացու համար լուրջ խնդիր կարող է առաջացնել ռուս սահմանապահների հետ։ Նրանց համար անգամ մեր լրագրողական վկայականները հիմք չէին, և վերջիններից մոտ 2 ժամ պահանջվեց պարզելու մեր ով ինելը, որից հետո նոր միայն թույլ տվեցին նկարահանումներ իրականացնել սահմանամերձ գյուղում, այն էլ՝ հստակ սահմանափակումներով։ Արգելվեց նկարահանել սահմանը, որը, ինչպես արդեն նշեցինք, գյուղից մոտ 50-100 մոտր հեռավորության վրա էր գտնվում, սահմանը հսկող սահմանապահներին, ռազմական օբյեկտները։
Այս իրավիճակը Մարգարայի բնակիչների համար առօրյա է։ Նրանց օրը սկսվում և ավարտվում է սահմանից լսվող նամազի ձայնով։
Գյուղացիների համար սա սովորական է, նրանք սահմանին կից հողագործությամբ են զբաղվում և բողոքում իրենց վիճակից։ Ամբողջ սեզոնին տանջվում են, բայց բերքը չեն կարողանում իրացնել։
Գյուղնախարարի հավաստիացումներից զատ՝ փաստում են, որ կարկտահարությունից տուժածները որևէ օգնություն չեն ստացել։ Փոխարենը տարեցտարի նոր՝ ավելի բարձր տոկոսադրույքով վարկեր են առաջարկվում գյուղացուն։
Թեև շատ է խոսվում, որ սահմանի հնարավոր բացումից հետո Հայաստանի և առհասարակ Մարգարայի գյուղացու համար տնտեսական առումով լավ հնարավորություններ կստեղծվեն, սակայն գյուղացիները դեմ են։ Պնդում են՝ թուրքը մնում է թուրք։
Հայ-թուրքական սահմանին գտնվող այս գյուղում լարված հետևում են քաղաքական գործընթացներին, բայց ընդդիմության հետ հույսեր չեն կապում։ Լիդեր չկա՝ պնդում են։
Գյուղը խմելու և ոռոգման ջրի խնդիր ունի, մարդիկ մինչ օրս գյուղի միակ աղբյուրից դույլերով ջուր են տանում, բայց կրկին ոչ ոքի չի հուզում գյուղացու այս հոգսերը։ Գյուղացիները պնդում են՝ սահմանամերձ գյուղը որևէ արտոնությունից չի օգտվում։
