ԱՄՆ ախկին նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել է, որ ինքը կորոշի, արդյոք «ոչ այնքան հեռավոր ապագայում»` 2024 թվականին կառաջադրվի երկրորդ անգամ պաշտոնավարելու համար, թե ոչ։
Fox News-ին տված հարցազրույցում Թրամփը նշել է, որ հարցումների համաձայն՝ ինքը առաջատար է հանրապետական ընտրողների շրջանում. «Ըստ հարցումների՝ ես առաջատար եմ՝ 40-50 միավորով»,- ասաց նա՝ կասկած հայտնելով, որ շատ ընդդիմախոսներ իր դեմ դուրս կգան, եթե որոշի առաջադրվել։
«Նրանցից շատերն ասում էին, որ չեն առաջադրվի, եթե ես առաջադրվեմ: Այսպիսով, եկեք տեսնենք, արդյոք դա ճիշտ է: Կարծում եմ՝ անհավատարիմ քայլ կլինի, սակայն դա էլ է նորմալ: Երեւի մոտ ապագայում որոշում կկայացնեմ։ Մենք պետք է այս երկիրը կրկին հզորացնենք», -նշել է Թրամփը։
Նա քննադատել է Բայդենի վարչակազմին՝ արտաքին քաղաքականության, էներգետիկ եւ տնտեսական կառավարման համար։
«Մենք էներգետիկ անկախություն ունեինք։ Մեզ հարգում էին ամբողջ աշխարհում։ Մենք ունեինք ցածր հարկեր, չունեինք գնաճ, ունեինք պատմության մեջ ամենաամուր սահմանը։ Հիմա նայեք մեր երկրին. մեր երկիրը ձախողված երկիր է, մենք անկում ապրող ժողովուրդ ենք», - ասել է ԱՄՆ-ի նախկին նախագահը։
Թրամփը հայտարարել է, որ ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը չէր ներխուժի Ուկրաինա, եթե ինքը լիներ ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահը։
«Պուտինը հարգում էր ինձ, եւ մենք խաղեր չէինք խաղում, ու դա տեղի չէր ունենա… Հիմա նավթն այնքան թանկ է, որ Պուտինը կարող է շարունակել պաերազմը: Նրա համար փողը խնդիր չի լինի», - եզրափակել է նա։
