Հայաստանի վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը և Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը կարող են հանդիպել Ռուսաստանում և եռակողմ բանակցություններ վարել ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի մասնակցությամբ։ Հանդիպման մասին պատմել է «Վեդոմոստի» պարբերականի դիվանագիտական աղբյուրը։
Նրա խոսքով, աշխատանքը սկսվել է հոկտեմբերի 14-ին Աստանայում ԱՊՀ գագաթնաժողովում Պուտինի հաշտարար ելույթից հետո. այնտեղ քննարկվել էին Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև տարածքային վեճերը։
«Վեդոմոստի»-ի մեկ այլ աղբյուր նշում է, որ նման բանակցությունները կարող են տեղի ունենալ հոկտեմբերի վերջին օրերին, հանդիպման անցկացման հիմնական վայրեր կարող են լինել Մոսկվան կամ Սոչի։
«Ամենայն հավանականությամբ, ընտրությունը կկանգնի Սոչիի վրա»,- ասել է նա։
Ավելի վաղ Փաշինյանի և Ալիևի երկու հանդիպում՝ մեկը Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի, մյուսը՝ Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Էմանուել Մակրոնի մասնակցությամբ, տեղի է ունեցել Պրահայում հոկտեմբերի 6-7-ը Եվրոպական քաղաքական համայնքի գագաթնաժողովում։ Մակրոնի մասնակցությամբ գագաթնաժողովը, որին մասնակցել է նաև Եվրոպական խորհրդի նախագահ Շառլ Միշելը, ավարտվել է հայտարարության ընդունմամբ։ Դրանում Հայաստանն ու Ադրբեջանը հաստատում են միմյանց տարածքային ամբողջականության ճանաչումը:
