Ինչպես հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, հոկտեմբերի 19-ին, ժամը 23։00-ի սահմաններում անհայտ անձը կամ անձինք Վանաձոր քաղաքում քարերով կոտրել են Աղայան փողոցի շենքերից մեկի բակում կայանված 38-ամյա Արմեն Բեժանյանին պատկանող Mitsubishi Montero մակնիշի ավտոմեքենայի դիմապակին և բեռնախցիկի դռան ապակին։
Ահազանգով դեպքի վայր են ժամանել այն ժամանակվա ոստիկանության Լոռու մարզային վարչության պետ Գևորգ Ազիզյանը, ոստիկանության Բազումի բաժնի պետի տեղակալ Վանյանը։
Դեպքի փաստով Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Լոռու մարզային քննչական վարչությունում նախանձեռնվել է քրեական վարույթ։
Ոստիկանությունը ձեռնարկում է անհրաժեշտ օպերատիվ-հետախուզական միջոցառումներ՝ դեպքի հանգամանքները, կատարողի կամ կատարողների ինքնությունը պարզելու և նրանց հայտնաբերելու ուղղությամբ։
Ոստիկանությունն ու քննչական բաժինը նաև աշխատում են մեկ այլ վարկածի ուղղությամբ, ըստ որի՝ հնարավոր է դեպքը կատարված լինի Ա. Բեժանյանի մասնագիտական գործունեության հետ կապված, քանի որ վերջին ամիսներին ՀՀ ոստիկանության պարեկային ծառայության Լոռու գումարտակի պարեկները հսկայածավալ աշխատանքներ են կատարել ու շարունակում են կատարել ոստիկանության Լոռու մարզային վարչության և մարզի տարածքային բաժինների ծառայողների հետ հանցագործությունների կանխման, նախականխման, քրեածին իրավիճակը իրենց վերահսկողության տակ պահելու ուղղությամբ, և չի բացառվում, որ արարքը կատարած լինեն պարեկներից «նեղսրտածները»։
