«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է

Մոլորակի լավագույն վիսկին որոշելը գրեթե անհնարին խնդիր է, չէ՞ որ ճաշակի հարցում կան բազմաթիվ սուբյեկտիվ գործոններ։ Այստեղ դժվար է հույս ունենալ, որ բոլոր համտեսողները միակարծիք կլինեն։ Բայց ասել, թե որ վիսկին է ամենաթանկը, դժվար չէ։ Դե, դա արդեն ճաշակի հետ ուղղակի կապ չունի: 2010 թվականին Sotheby's-ի բարեգործական աճուրդում 64 տարեկան վիսկու շիշը վաճառվել է 460 հազար դոլարով։ Դա եղել է The Macallan in Lalique վիսկին, և այն անմիջապես մտել է Գինեսի ռեկորդների գիրք։ Ի դեպ, 10 ամենաթանկ վիսկիների ցանկում ներառված է ևս չորս խմիչք Macallan ընկերությունից։ Macallan վիսկու տան պատմությունը սկսվել է 1820 թվականին, երբ շատ բարեկեցիկ ֆերմեր Ալեքսանդր Ռիդը վարձակալել է հողատարածք Սփայսայդում, որը Շոտլանդիայի վիսկու արտադրության գլխավոր շրջաններից մեկն է։

Թեպետ պետք է նշել, Ռիդը ալկոհոլի արտադրության լիցենզիա ստացել է միայն 4 տարի անց և այդ ժամանակից է սկսել արտադրությունը։ Ռիդը ընդունում էր այդ ըմպելիքի արտադրության բոլոր այն ավանդույթները, որոնք շոտլանդացիները կուտակել էին դարերի ընթացքում, և այդ պատճառով էլ նրա վիսկին շատ արագ է հայտնի դարձել իր ամենաբարձր որակի շնորհիվ։ Նա ղեկավարել է իր ընկերությունը մինչև իր մահը՝ 1847 թվականը: Ընկերության հիմնադրի մահից հետո այն անցել է մի նախաձեռնող մարդու՝ Ջեյմս Դեյվիդսոնի ձեռքը, ով լիովին հետևել է հանգուցյալ Ռիդի թողած բոլոր հրահանգներին։ 1868 թվականին թորման գործարանի երրորդ սեփականատերը եղել է Ջեյմս Ստյուարտը, որը շատ բան է արել խմիչքի որակը բարելավելու համար, ինչպես նաև գնել է գրեթե այն ողջ հողը, որը ժամանակին վարձակալել էր Ալեքսանդր Ռիդը։

Հաջորդ սեփականատերը եղել է Ռոդերիկ Քեմփը, որն իր հերթին շատ բան է արել ապրանքանիշի հանրահռչակման համար: Հենց նրա օրոք է գործարանը հիմնովին բարելավվել, և Macallan վիսկին հայտնի է դարձել Շոտլանդիայի սահմաններից դուրս: Քեմփի հետնորդները ապրանքանիշի սեփականատերն են եղել մինչև 1996 թվականը, երբ մի շարք կլանումների արդյունքում The Macallan-ը դարձել է Suntory կոնցեռնի սեփականությունը։ Հատկանշական է, որ մինչև 50-ականները Macallan-ը հայտնի էր որպես այլ արտադրողների խառնուրդների ստեղծման անբաժանելի մաս։ Շնորհիվ այն բանի, որ որոշվել է վիսկին գովազդել սեփական ապրանքանիշի ներքո, ընկերությունը կարողացել է գոյատևել 60-80-ականներին, որոնք ոլորտի համար դժվար տարիներ են եղել։ Ավելին, Macallan վիսկին կարողացել է դառնալ մի տեսակ ստանդարտ, որով առաջնորդվել են այդ ըմպելիքի բոլոր գիտակները և իրենք՝ արտադրողները։

Ինչպես և 180 տարի առաջ, այսօր էլ Macallan վիսկին պատրաստվում է թորման գործարանի հիմնադրի կողմից որոշված սկզբունքների համաձայն, այն է՝ արտադրության տեխնոլոգիայի ճշգրիտ պահպանումը և ամենաբարձր որակի հումքի օգտագործումը։
