«Ավրորայի լուսաբացը» ֆիլմը «Ասիա-խաղաղօվկիանոսյան էկրանավորման» մրցանակաբաշխության («Asia Pacific Screen Award») «Լավագույն անիմացիոն ֆիլմ» անվանակարգում արժանացել է մրցանակի:

Ինչպես հայտնում են ՀՀ ԿԳՄՍ նախարարությունից, «Լավագույն անիմացիոն ֆիլմ» անվանակարգում մրցել է 5 ֆիլմ: Այս չափազանց բարձրակարգ կինոստուգատեսն Ասիա-Խաղաղoվկիանոսյան տարածաշրջանում «Օսկարին» համարժեք մրցանակաբաշխություն է, որտեղ  ընտրվում և մրցանակի են արժանանում լավագույն ֆիլմերը:

«Արշալույսի լուսաբացը» ֆիլմը վավերագրում է Արշալույս Մարտիկյանի (Ավրորա Մարդիգանյան) կյանքի ոդիսականը. Հայոց ցեղասպանությունից մազապուրծ եղած դեռատի աղջիկը զորավար Անդրանիկի և «Մերձավոր Արևելքում ամերիկյան օգնության կոմիտեի» աջակցությամբ փրկություն է գտնում ԱՄՆ-ում։ Ֆիլմում վերականգնվել և օգտագործվել են 1919 թվականին Հոլիվուդում նկարահանված «Հոգիների աճուրդ» համր ֆիլմից հատվածներ, որտեղ Արշալույսը մարմնավորում է ինքն իրեն՝ նպատակ ունենալով ֆիլմի հասույթն ուղղել ցեղասպանության հետևանքով որբացած հայ մանուկների փրկությանը: Ֆիլմը դառնում է «Մերձավոր Արևելքում ամերիկյան օգնության կոմիտեի» բարեգործական արշավի հիմնաքարը, որը, ընդհանուր առմամբ, հավաքում է ավելի քան 116 մլն դոլար, ինչի արդյունքում ավելի քան 132 հազար հայ որբեր խնամք են ստանում։

«Արշալույսի լուսաբացը» ֆիլմը հիմնված է իրական մարդու իրական պատմության վրա, միևնույն ժամանակ՝ փոխանցում է ժամանակի ընդհանուր նկարագիրը: Այն հերոսուհու երկու եզակի վավերագրական հարցազրույցների, «Հոգիների աճուրդ» համր ֆիլմի պահպանված կտորների, արխիվային նյութերի և անիմացիոն գեղագիտական լուծումների համադրությունն է:

ՀՀ կրթության, գիտության, մշակույթի և սպորտի նախարարության և Հայաստանի ազգային կինոկենտրոնի աջակցությամբ նկարահանված «Արշալույսի լուսաբացը» վավերագրական-անիմացիոն ֆիլմը Հայաստանի, Գերմանիայի և Լիտվայի համատեղ արտադրություն է (արտադրող ընկերություններ՝ «Բարս մեդիա», «Gebrueder Beetz Filmproduktion», «Artbox Laisvalaikio Klubas»): Կինոնկարը աջակցություն է ստացել  նաև Եվրոպական ամենախոշոր կինոֆոնդից՝ «Եվրիմաժից» (Հայաստանը՝ որպես մեծամասնական համարտադրող)։ Ֆիլմը ստեղծվել է Զորյան ինստիտուտի գիտական աջակցությամբ և Հայոց ցեղասպանության բանավոր պատմության արխիվի հիման վրա: Ռեժիսորը և սցենարի հեղինակը Իննա Սահակյանն է. պրոդյուսերներ՝ Վարդան Հովհաննիսյան, Քրիստիան Բից, Յուստե Միխայլինայտե:
