ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Յենս Ստոլտենբերգը նշել է Ուկրաինայում հակամարտության ավարտի հնարավոր տարբերակ։ Նա չի բացառել, որ ամեն ինչ կարող է որոշվել բանակցությունների սեղանի շուրջ։ Այս մասին Ստոլտենբերգը խոսել է գերմանական Süddeutsche Zeitung թերթին տված հարցազրույցում։
«Պատերազմների մեծ մասն ավարտվում է բանակցությունների սեղանի շուրջ, և այս մեկը, հավանաբար, նույնը կլինի: Այնուամենայնիվ, մենք հասկանում ենք, որ այն, ինչ տեղի կունենա այս սեղանի շուրջ, անքակտելիորեն կապված է մարտի դաշտում տիրող իրավիճակի հետ»,- ասել է Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքի գլխավոր քարտուղարը։
Ըստ Ստոլտենբերգի՝ Ուկրաինայի հաղթանակը երաշխավորող դիվանագիտական արդյունք ապահովելու միակ միջոցը երկրին աջակցություն ցուցաբերելն է։ «Որքան խաղաղություն ենք ուզում, այնքան ավելի շատ պետք է օգնենք», - ասել է նա:
Միաժամանակ ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարը նշել է, որ ոչ մի նախանշան չի տեսնում, որ Ռուսաստանի իշխանությունները պատրաստ են Ուկրաինայի հետ բանակցել «բարի նպատակներով»։
