Քաղաքագետ Հրանտ Մելիք-Շահնազարյանն իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել է.
«Կարծում եմ` Ադրբեջանի հետագա գործողություններն արդեն պարզ են: Շուշիի մոտ իրենց վարքագիծն ու դրան զուգահեռ տեղի ունեցող զարգացումները շատ խոսուն են: Ուստի թույլ տվեք որոշակի կանխատեսումներ անել թշնամու ապագա քայլերի մասին: Նախապես ասեմ, որ հուսադրող ոչ մի բան խոսքերիս մեջ չի լինլու: Եվ չէր էլ կարող լինել:
Եվ այսպես, ըստ հերթականության.
- Ադրբեջանը փորձելու է հնարավորինս երկար փակ պահել Արցախը Հայաստանին կապող ճանապարհը` հընթացս փորձելով առավելագույնս հեղինակազրկել ռուս խաղաղապահներին, հայերի շրջանում անվստահություն սերմանել վերջիններիս հանդեպ ու, որ ամենակարևորն է, քաղաքական օրակարգ բերել նոր խնդիրներ, որոնք հետագայում կծառայեցվեն Ադրբեջանի շահերին:
- Ադրբեջանը փորձելու է Արցախում իր իսկ կողմից ստեղծվող հումանիտար ճգնաժամին որոշակի լուծումներ տալ` այդկերպ ցույց տալով, որ Հայաստանը չէ այն երկիրը, որը պետք է զբաղվի արցախահայության խնդիրներով:
- Ադրբեջանն էլ ավելի է բարձրացնելու հայերի կողմից «ադրբեջանական ռեսուրսների» շահագործման հարցը` դրա դիմաց պահանջելով համապատասխան փոխհատուցում:
Ճնշման այսպիսի` համեմատաբար մեղմ միջոցներով հաջողության չհասնելու դեպքում Ադրբեջանն անցնելու է ավելի ագրեսիվ գործողությունների և, հնարավոր է, սկսի ռմբակոծել Արցախի հանքարդյունաբերական ձեռնարկություններն, ինչպես նաև կրիտիկական ենթակառուցվածքը:
Բոլոր այս քայլերն արդեն ուրվագծվում են: Օրինակ, այսօր հայտնի դարձավ, որ Ադրբեջանում գործող բրիտանական Anglo-Asian Mining ընկերությունը դատական հայց է նախապատրաստում Կաշենի հանքը «թալանողների» դեմ: Պարզ է, որ այս գործընթացը շարունակական է լինելու: Թերևս նաև արդյունավետ, եթե Հայաստանում մենք շարւնակենք հանդուրժել դավաճանների այս իշխանությունը»:
