Գերմանիան իր թանգարաններից բենինյան 20 բրոնզե իրեր փոխանցել է Նիգերիային, ասել է Գերմանիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Աննալենա Բերբոքը, փոխանցել է Reuters-ը։

Սա վկայում է այն մասին, որ գաղութատիրության շրջանում Աֆրիկայից եվրոպացի գաղութարարների բերած արտեֆակտները վերադարձվում են տերերին։ Գերմանիան համաձայնել է վերադարձնել բենինյան բրոնզե իրերը, որոնք անցած տարի պահվում էին երկրի թանգարաններում։

Ավելի վաղ այս տարվա ընթացքում Գերմանիան Նիգերիայի հետ ստորագրել էր հռչակագիր բենինյան բոլոր 1 130 բրոնզե իրերը վերադարձնելու մասին։

Իրերի հանձնման արարողությանը ներկա էին Նիգերիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ջեֆրի Օնիյամին եւ տեղեկատվության նախարար Լայ Մոհամեդը, Գերմանիայի մշակույթի եւ ԶԼՄ-ների նախարար Կլաուդիա Ռոտը, ինչպես նաեւ Գերմանիայի թանգարանների տնօրենները։

«Այսօր մենք կատարում ենք վաղուց հասունացած քայլը. մենք վերադարձնում ենք 20 բենինյան բրոնզե իրերը հայրենիք»,- ասել է Բերբոքը լրագրողներին Աբուջայում։

Նիգերիացի պաշտոնյաների խոսքով՝ այդ իրերը Գերմանիայում էին գտնվում մոտ երկու հարյուրամյակ, որոնց մի մասը՝ մասնավոր հավաքածուներում եւ կազինոներում։

Բրիտանացի զինվորները հազարավոր բրոնզե իրեր եւ քանդակներ էին վերցրել 1897թ. Բենինի Թագավորությունում կատարած ռեյդի ժամանակ։

Բրոնզե իրերը վաճառվել են աճուրդներում, իսկ հետո հայտնվել Նոր Զելանդիայում, Գերմանիայում եւ ԱՄՆ-ում, իսկ ամենամեծ հավաքածուն Լոնդոնում է։

Վերադարձը, հավանաբար, կուժեղացնի ճնշումը Լոնդոնի Բրիտանական թանգարանի վրա, որտեղ պահվում է այս իրերի մեծ մասը։

Նիգերիայի տեղեկատվության նախարարը Բրիտանական թանգարանին կոչ է արել վերադարձնել ավելի քան 900 բենինյան բրոնզե իրերը։
