Հյուսիսային Կորեայի առաջնորդ Կիմ Չեն Ընն իշխող Աշխատավորական կուսակցության նիստում ներկայացրել է երկրի բանակի նոր նպատակները  2023 թվականի համար՝ ակնարկելով զենքի ինտենսիվ փորձարկումների և, ըստ այդմ, լարվածության ևս մեկ տարվա մասին:Այս մասին հայտնում է Reuters-ը։

Կուսակցության կենտրոնական կոմիտեի ընդլայնված լիագումար նիստի երկրորդ օրը Կիմ Չեն Ինն անդրադարձել է Կորեական թերակղզում «նոր բարդ իրավիճակին» և ավելի լայն քաղաքական լանդշաֆտին, հաղորդում են պետական լրատվամիջոցները:

Երկրի ղեկավարը սահմանել  է «հակակորդի դեմ պայքարի» ուղղությունը և պաշտպանական հզորության ամրապնդման նպատակները։

Կորեայի կենտրոնական հեռագրային գործակալությունը մանրամասներ չի հայտնել սահմանված նպատակների մասին, սակայն Կիմ Չեն Ընի խոսքերը կարող են վկայել, որ մեկուսացված երկիրը կշարունակի արագացնել իր ռազմական ընդլայնումը:

Հյուսիսային Կորեան աննախադեպ թվով հրթիռներ է արձակել այս տարի, և արձակումներից շատերը իրականացվել են «առաջնահերթ» ռազմավարական զենք մշակելու ծրագրի շրջանակում:
Ծրագրում ներառված են մարտավարական միջուկային զենքեր, նոր միջմայրցամաքային բալիստիկ հրթիռ, հիպերձայնային մարտագլխիկներ, միջուկային սուզանավեր և հետախուզական արբանյակ։
