Իրանի նախագահ Էբրահիմ Ռայիսին մեղադրել է ԱՄՆ-ին և արևմտյան երկրներին ասեկոսեների և ապատեղեկատվության տարածման միջոցով Իրանում հակակառավարական բողոքներ հրահրելու մեջ: Այս մասին հաղորդում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ վկայակոչելով ТАСС գործակալությանը: «Իսլամական հեղափոխության թշնամիները ստի տարածմամբ չեն կարողանա հասնել իրենց նպատակներին և պառակտել իրանցի ժողովրդին:

Երիտասարդները մեր երեխաներն են, և բոլոր նրանք, ովքեր խաբվել են, կընդունվեն հայրենքի գրկում, բայց դավաճաններին գթություն չի լինի», - ասել է Ռայիսին Թեհրանում 1980-1988 թվականների Իրան-իրաքյան պատերազմի վետերանների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ: Իսլամական Հանրապետության նախագահի խոսքով, սեպտեմբերի կեսերից Իրանում բռնկված անկարգությունների ու հուզումների կազմակերպման մեջ ներգրավված են եղել «երեսպաշտները, միապետականներն ու հակահեղափոխականները, այսինքն՝ բոլոր նրանք, ովքեր հանդես են եկել իսլամական հանրապետության դեմ»:

Իրանի դատախազությունը դեկտեմբերի 26-ին հայտնել է, որ Թեհրանում ոստիկանության և անվտանգության ուժերի կողմից ձերբակալված ցուցարարների 83%-ն ազատ է արձակվել։ Tasnim գործակալության տարածած հայտարարության մեջ նշվել է, որ «վերջին երեք ամիսների ընթացքում անկարգությունների մասնակիցների գործերով զբաղվող դատավորները 2 239 այցելություն են կատարել բանտեր և անձնական զրույցներ ունեցել կալանքի տակ գտնվողների հետ»: Հոկտեմբերին և նոյեմբերին Իրանի իշխանությունները բազմիցս հայտարարել էին Քուրդիստանի նահանգի վարչական կենտրոն Սենենդեջում և Սիստան և Բելուջիստանի նահանգի գլխավոր քաղաք Զահեդանում տեղի ունեցած բողոքի ակցիաների մասնակիցներին ներում շնորհելու մասին: Ազատ են արձակվել արաբական ցեղերով բնակեցված հարավարևմտյան Խուզեստանի նահանգում և էթնիկ ադրբեջանցիներով բնակեցված Արդաբիլում բողոքի ակցիաներին մասնակցած ցուցարարները։

Միացյալ Նահանգները դեկտեմբերի 26-ին Իրանին կոչ է արել  ազատ արձակել բողոքների բոլոր մասնակիցներին՝ առանց որևիցե պայմանի: ԱՄՆ Պետքարտուղարության մամուլի ծառայության ղեկավար Նեդ Փրայսը նշել է, որ խոսքը վերաբերում Է «բոլոր այն մարդկանց, ովքեր Իրանում կալանքի տակ են գտնվում այն բանի համար, որ խաղաղ պաշտպանել են իրենց ազատությունները»: Իրանում խռովությունները սկսվել են սեպտեմբերի 16-ին՝ 22-ամյա Մահսա Ամինիի հուղարկավորությունից հետո։

Ըստ պաշտոնական վարկածի՝ ոստիկանները Ամինիին բերման էին ենթարկել գլխաշորը ոչ պատշաճ ձևով կրելու համար։ Հարցաքննության ժամանակ նա սրտի կաթված էր ստացել, որից մահացել էր։ Սոցցանցերում տեղեկություններ են շրջանառվել, որ Ամինին ծեծի է ենթարկվել ոստիկանների կողմից։

Հոկտեմբերի 7-ին Իրանի դատաբժշկական կազմակերպությունը պաշտոնական հաղորդագրություն էր տարածել աղջկա մահվան պատճառների մասին, որտեղ նշվել Էր, որ նրան վնասվածքներ չեն հասցվել։ Սաուդյան Asharq Al-Awsat թերթի փոխանցմամբ՝ երեք ամսվա ընթացքում ցույցերն ու երթերն ընդգրկել են 157 քաղաքներ ու բնակավայրեր։ Դրանց մասնակիցները կոչ են արել ժողովրդավարական փոփոխություններ կատարել, դատապարտել են իշխանությունների բռնաճնշումները և պահանջել են ազատ արձակել ձերբակալվածներին։ Ընդհանուր առմամբ, ըստ հրատարակության՝ սեպտեմբերի կեսերից Իրանում ձերբակալվել է 18,5 հազար մարդ։ Անկարգությունները ճնշելու ժամանակ զոհվել է 507 ակտիվիստ և 66 ուժային:
