Դեկտեմբերի 28-ին Մոսկվայում եռակողմ բանակցություններ են տեղի ունեցել Ռուսաստանի, Սիրիայի և Թուրքիայի պաշտպանության նախարարությունների ղեկավարներ Սերգեյ Շոյգուի, Ալի Մահմուդ Աբասի և Հուլուսի Աքարի միջև։ Այս մասին հայտնում է ՌԴ ՊՆ մամուլի ծառայությունը։
Զուգահեռաբար հանդիպում է տեղի ունեցել երեք երկրների հետախուզության ղեկավարների՝ ՌԴ արտաքին հետախուզության ծառայության ղեկավար Սերգեյ Նարիշկինի, Թուրքիայի հետախուզության վարչության պետ Հաքան Ֆիդանի և Սիրիայի ռազմական հետախուզության վարչության պետ Ռաֆիք Շահադի միջև։
Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության պաշտպանության նախարարությունը նշել է հանդիպումների կառուցողական բնույթը և հայտարարել այս ձևաչափով փոխգործակցությունը շարունակելու անհրաժեշտության մասին՝ ի շահ Սիրիայում իրավիճակի հետագա կայունացման։
Թուրքիայի պաշտպանության նախարարության մամուլի ծառայությունն իր կայքում հայտնել է, որ հանդիպմանը քննարկվել են «սիրիական ճգնաժամը, փախստականների խնդիրը և Սիրիայում բոլոր ահաբեկչական կազմակերպությունների դեմ պայքարում համատեղ ջանքերը»։
