Սեւանա լճի մակարդակը 2023 թվականի հունվարի 4-ի դրությամբ ծովի մակերեւույթից գտնվել է 1900 մետր 28 սանտիմետր բարձրության վրա՝ նախորդ տարվա նույն ժամանակահատվածի նիշին զիջելով 14 սանտիմետրով։
Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ շրջակա միջավայրի նախարարության «Հիդրոօդերեւութաբանության եւ մոնիթորինգի կենտրոն»-ից, Արփա-Սեւան թունելային ջրատարով այս տարվա առաջին երեք օրերի ընթացքում, ներառյալ ստորերկրյա հոսքը, Սեւանա լիճ է տեղափոխվել 172 հազար խորանարդ մետր ջուր։ Սեւան թափվող գետերը գտնվում են ձմեռային սակավաջուր փուլում։
«Սեւան ազգային պարկ»-ի գիտական բաժնի վարիչ Արայիկ Հունանյանի կարծիքով՝ Սեւանա լճի մակարդակի նման նվազումը հիմնականում կապվում է եղանակային անսովոր պայմանների՝ չորության եւ տաք ջերմաստիճանի հետ։
«Անցած տարում ոռոգման նպատակներով Սեւանա լճից նախատեսվածից ավել ջրառ չի կատարվել, սակայն ողջ տարվա ընթացքում գրանցվել է տեղումների նվազ քանակություն, տեւական երաշտ, ինչը նպաստել է լճում գոլորշացման ծավալների ավելացմանը, գետերի հոսքի նվազեցմանը։ Հիմա էլ չոր եղանակները շարունակվում են, գետնին եւ լեռներում բացակայում է ձնածածկույթը, եւ այս գործոնների հետեւանքով լճի մակարդակի նվազման գործընթացը շարունակվում է»,-ներկայացրեց Արայիկ Հունանյանը։
