Ինչպես հաղորդում է Daily Mail-ը, մեծամասամբ համակարգչային գրաֆիկայի վրա կառուցված Ավատարը, որը մեծ կինոէկրաններին է հայտնվել դեկտեմբերի 16-ին, համաշխարհային կինովարձույթում հավաքել է 1,5 մլրդ դոլար: Մինչդեռ «Թոփ Գան. Մավերիք»-ը հավաքել է 1,49 մլրդ դոլար:
