Մեր սահմանների կողքին հերթական ավերիչ երկրաշարժն է տեղի ունեցել, որի արդյունքում հարյուրավոր մարդկային զոհեր են գրանցվել. զոհերի թվում նաև հայեր կան, անչափահաս երեխաներ…
Գաղտնիք չէ, որ Հայաստանը համարվում է տարածաշրջանի սեյսմիկ ամենաակտիվ գոտիներից մեկը, և միայն երջանիկ պատահականությամբ է, որ Երևանում այդպիսի ավերիչ երկրաշարժեր չեն գրանցվում։
Պատկերացնելն անգամ սարսափելի է, թե ինչ կլինի մեզ հետ նման ցնցումների պարագայում, ինչ հետևանքներ կունենանք։
Երևանի քաղաքային իշխանությունները քաղաքը շարունակաբար ագահորեն վերածում են մեծ բիզնես նախագծի։
Յուրաքանչյուր քառակուսի մետրից գումար աշխատելու մոլուցքը Երևանը դարձրել է մի անկանոն շինհրապարակ, որտեղ չեն պահպանվում անգամ ամենատարրական անվտանգային կանոնները՝ սկսած առանց գլխավոր հատակագծի, անհասկանալի շինթույլտվություններ հատկացնելուց։
Երբ թվում է, թե Երևանի կենտրոնում այլևս ոչ մի շինարարության համար հնարավոր չէ տեղ հատկացնել, մենք ականատես ենք լինում անգամ բակերում տարբեր կառույցների ավելացմանը, քաղաքի դիմագիծն ուղղակիորեն խեղաթյուրող շինությունների, որոնց խիտ լինելու պատճառով նույնիսկ հրշեջ և շտապ օգնության մեքենաները չեն կարողանում անարգել մուտք գործել։
Սեյսմամոնիտորինգի, սեյսմիկ ռիսկի գնահատման, և սեյսմապաշտպանության ակտիվ համակարգի բացակայության պատճառով մեր քաղաքի դիմակայունության ցուցանիշները մեղմ ասած, մտահոգիչ են։
Մինչդեռ Երևանի դիմակայանության բարձրացումը պետք է լիներ առաջնահերթություն և բխեր սեյսմիկ պաշտպանություն իրականացնող պետական կառավարման, տեղական ինքնակառավարման մարմինների և կազմակերպությունների փոխկապակցված համապարփակ գործողություններից։
Երևանում 200-ից ավելի վթարային շենք ու շինություն կա, իսկ այդ վթարայնության վերացման և բնակչության ճիշտ տեղաբաշխման ու իրազեկվածության մակարդակի բարձրացման ռազմավարություն՝ ոչ։
Բայց Երևանը շարունակում է «զարգանալ». զարգանալ հանցավոր անտարբերությամբ և հանցավոր գործունեությամբ՝ քաղաքի դիմագծի խեղաթյուրմամբ, ապօրինի շինթույլտվություններով, անվտանգության նորմերի անտեսումով։
