Արցախի պետնախարար Ռուբեն Վարդանյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
35 տարի առաջ այս օրը սկսվեց ղարաբաղյան շարժումը: Եթե չլիներ շարժումը, մենք կորցրած կլինեինք ոչ միայն Արցախը, այլև Հայաստանը: Արցախի պահպանումն ու արցախյան առաջին պատերազմում հաղթանակի զգացողությունը մեզ մեծ ուժ ու վստահություն տվեց, քանի որ շատերի համար անհնարին թվացող այդ հաղթանակը մեզ հաջողվեց հնարավոր դարձնել: Շարժման շնորհիվ մենք հասկացանք, որ հայրենիք կորցնելու աղետը կարող ենք կանխել պայքարի միջոցով։
Արցախի ժողովուրդը շարունակում է պայքարել ազատ, անկախ, արժանապատիվ կյանքով ապրելու իրավունքի համար, այն բանի համար, որ մեր գլխին չկախվի էթնիկ զտման ու հայրենիքից արտաքսվելու սպառնալիքը: Դրան ի պատասխան հարևան Ադրբեջանի կողմից ստացել ենք պատերազմներ, մարդկային կորուստներ ու բարդ փորձություններ, որոնք շարունակվում են այսօրվա շրջափակման ու մեզ պատճառված դժվարությունների տեսքով:
Բոլոր փորձություններով հանդերձ՝ Արցախը հայկական պահելու մեր կամքն անսասան է մնում: Բոլոր նրանք, ովքեր քննարկում են ու փորձում առանց մեզ վճռել Արցախի ճակատագիրը, այդպես էլ չեն հասկանում, որ մեր ճակատագիրը մենք մեր ձեռքն ենք վերցրել 35 տարի առաջ այս օրը: Մենք այդ որոշման համար վճարել ենք շատ թանկ գին: Մեր բազմաթիվ նվիրյալ հերոսներ իրենց կյանքն են տվել այս հողը հայկական պահելու համար, որովհետև նրանք հասկացել են Արցախի բացառիկ կարևորությունը հայոց պետականության և հայկական աշխարհի պահպանման համար:
Որպես պետնախարար իմ պաշտոնավարման այս 100 օրվա ու ծանր շրջափակման իրավիճակում ես ինքս տեսա Արցախի ժողովրդի անսովոր հզոր ուժը և հասկացա, որ այդ ուժը մենք ստանում ենք այն հողից, որի վրա ապրում ենք, որտեղ մեր ազգային ինքնության արմատներն են: Ես զգացի մեր արմատների խորությունն ու դրանից եկող այդ բացառիկ ուժը:
Ու ես հիմա վստահ ասում եմ, որ եթե անգամ մեր նպատակին հասնելու համար ևս 35 տարի պահանջվի, դա մեզ չպետք է կանգնեցնի, հիասթափեցնի, հեռացնի մեր նպատակից: Մենք ունենք բավարար կամք ու համառություն՝ մեր նպատակին հասնելու համար ու դա մեզնից ոչ ոք խլել չի կարող:
