Աբովյանի քաղաքապետ Էդուարդ Բաբայանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
1988 թվականի փետրվարի 20-ին մեկնարկեց հայ ժողովրդին մեկ գաղափարի շուրջ համախմբող Արցախյան շարժումը՝ Խորհրդային Ադրբեջանի կազմից դուրս գալու, Խորհրդային Հայաստանին միանալու միահամուռ որոշմամբ և սեփական երկրում ազատ ապրելու պահանջով: Արցախյան շարժման մեկնարկի օրը հռչակվեց որպես Արցախի վերածննդի օր, որն ամեն տարի Արցախի Հանրապետությունում նշվում է որպես պետական, ազգային տոն: Մեր հայրենակիցների արյամբ սրբագործված Արցախը հայ ժողովրդի հաղթական անցյալն է, փորձություններով լի ներկան և ապագայի հուսալի հանգրվանը. հենց այս մտքով առաջնորդվելով՝ այսօր, առավել քան երբևէ, մենք պետք է արթուն պահենք 1988թ.-ի ոգին ու միասնականությունը, տեր կանգնենք մեր երկրին և ստեղծված հումանիտար աղետի պայմաններում լինենք արցախահայության կողքին:
Սիրելի՛ արցախցիներ.
Ձեզ բաժին հասած դժվարություններն անչափելի են. ապրում եք շուրջ երկու տարի զավթված հայրենիքի կարոտով, հարազատների կորստի ցավով, իսկ այսօր նաև հումանիտար աղետի պայմաններում: Միևնույն ժամանակ, անչափելի են այն մեծ ուժն ու հաստատակամությունը, որը դրսևորում եք դուք և ի հեճուկս շրջափակման հետևանքով ստեղծված բարդությունների՝ շարունակում եք մնալ տոկուն ու հավատարիմ 35 տարի առաջ սկիզբ առած Արցախյան շարժման գաղափարախոսությանը:

Արցախյան շարժման 35-րդ տարեդարձի առիթով ի սրտե շնորհավորում եմ բոլորիս և մաղթում 1988-ի համախմբվածություն, ուժ և համբերություն արցախահայությանը, խաղաղություն և անվտանգություն Արցախ աշխարհին:
