Փետրվարի 22-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունեց Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում Չեխիայի Հանրապետության նորանշանակ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Պետր Պիրունչիկին:
Հայոց Հայրապետը, իր օրհնությունը բերելով դեսպանին, մաղթեց բեղմնավոր ու արդյունավետ առաքելություն:
Գոհունակությամբ փաստելով երկու երկրների բարեկամական սերտ հարաբերություններն ու գործակցությունը՝ Նորին Սրբությունը հույս հայտնեց, որ դրանք կլինեն շարունակական և բարի արդյունքներ կապահովեն երկու ժողովուրդների համար: Հայոց Հայրապետն ընդգծեց, որ հայ-չեխական կապերի առավել ամրապնդման գործում նաև իր կարևոր նպաստն է բերում Չեխիայի հայ համայնքը: Այս առիթով Գարեգին Երկրորդ Կաթողիկոսն ի դեմս դեսպանի իր գնահատանքը փոխանցեց Չեխիայի իշխանություններին և Չեխիայի Կաթոլիկ Եկեղեցուն հայ համայնքի հանդեպ դրսևորվող ջերմ և հոգատար վերաբերմունքի համար:
Նորանշանակ դեսպան Պետր Պիրունչիկը, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով բարեմաղթանքների համար, Նորին Սրբությանը վստահեցրեց, որ իր ներդրումը կբերի հայ-չեխական փոխհարաբերությունների առավել զորացման ու զարգացման գործում:
Հանդիպմանը նաև անդրադարձ կատարվեց տարածաշրջանում առկա իրավիճակին, Հայաստանի և Արցախի առջև ծառացած անվտանգային և գոյաբանական հիմնախնդիրներին, պատերազմի աղետալի հետևանքների հաղթահարմանն ուղղված քայլերին։ Այս առնչությամբ Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետը ողջունեց միջազգային կառույցների և բարեկամ երկրների ջանքերը՝ ի խնդիր տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության և կայունության վերահաստատման՝ կարևորելով նաև միջնորդական շարունակական ջանքերը Ադրբեջանում մինչ օրս պահվող հայ գերիների վերադարձման համար։
