Խաղաղության պայմանագրի բանակցություններում Հայաստանն ունի իր սկզբունքային դիրքորոշումները. թե այդ բանակցությունների շրջանակում և թե դրանից դուրս ընդհանրապես Հայաստանի պահանջն է, որ Ադրբեջանը հեռացնի իր զորքերը ՀՀ օկուպացված տարածքներից: Այս մասին ասուլիսում ասաց ՀՀ ԱԺ արտաքին հարաբերությունների մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Սարգիս Խանդանյանը՝ անդրադառնալով բանակցությունների մասին հարցին:
«Հայաստանն ունի իր սկզբունքային դիրքորոշումները: Եվ այդ սկզբունքային դիրքորոշումները մեծ հաշվով տեղավորվում են Հայաստանի ինքնիշխանության և անկախության պաշտպանության ներքո, նաև Հայաստանի ներքին գործերին որևէ կողմի չմիջամտելու թեմայի համատեքստում»,-ասաց Խանդանյանը:
Թե կոնկրետ ի՞նչ մասնավոր կետերի շուրջ Հայաստանն ու Ադրբեջանը դեռևս չեն կարողանում մոտեցնել իրենց դիրքորոշումները՝ պատգամավորը չխոսեց՝ նշելով, որ դրա մասին պետք է խոսեն բանակցողները:
«Այնուամենայնիվ, Հայաստանը հանձնառու է շարունակել բանակցությունները: Եվ հույս ունենք, որ պահը շուտ կմոտենա, և մենք հնարավորություն կունենանք Ադրբեջանի հետ կնքել խաղաղության պայմանագիրը»,-նշեց նա:
Անդրադառնալով հարցին, թե արդյոք կա՞ նախապայման, որ ադրբեջանցիները պետք է դուրս գան Հայաստանի ինքնիշխան տարածքից՝ Խանդանյանն ասաց. «Այդ նախապայմանը ոչ միայն խաղաղության բանակցությունների շրջանակում է, այլ՝ ընդհանրապես, Հայաստանի պահանջն է, որ Ադրբեջանը Հայաստանի օկուպացված հատվածներից իր զորքերը հեռացնի»:
