«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է
Անդրադառնալով հասարակական-քաղաքական գործիչ Ավետիք Չալաբյանի գործով դատավարության ընթացքին՝ ոչ մեկ անգամ տեղեկացրել ենք, որ գործով անցնող առանցքային վկան՝ Ագրարային համալսարանի ուսխորհրդի նախագահ Թոռնիկ Ալիյանը, խուսափում է դատարան ներկայանալ: Նշել էինք նաև, որ նա լուրջ անհանգստություններ ունի, որ իր կարգավիճակը կարող է փոխվել՝ վկայից մեղադրյալի: Եվ ահա, նախօրեին էլ Թոռնիկ Ալիյանը ներկայացել էր դատարան, բայց քիչ ավելի ուշ առանց թույլտվության, ինքնակամ հեռացել էր՝ ընդամենը դատարանի աշխատակազմին պատճառաբանելով, թե ինչ-որ հանդիպում ունի:Բնականաբար, նրա հարցաքննությունը հերթական անգամ հետաձգվեց:
Ինչպես երևում է, Ալիյանի անհանգստությունները գնալով ավելի են խորանում: Ճիշտ է, ի սկբանե էլ պարզ էր, որ Ավետիք Չալաբյանը հավաքներին մասնակցելու նպատակով նյութական շահագրգռվածություն առաջարկելու վերաբերյալ որևէ պնդում չի արել, ընդհակառակը՝ Թոռնիկ Ալիյանն ինքն է անընդհատ «փողի թեմա» առաջ քաշել, այդուամենայնիվ, դատավարության ընթացքում Չալաբյանի պաշտպանական թիմի պրոֆեսիոնալ աշխատանքի արդյունքում այդ ամենն առավել ակներև է դառնում: Ըստ այդմ, նույն Չալաբյանի խոսքերով, Թոռնիկ Ալիյանը հավանաբար հասկանում է, որ ինքը «իշխանության կեղտոտ խաղի զոհն է դարձել և իր հարցաքննությամբ դատարանում ինքն ուղղակի խայտառակ կլինի, ուստիև խուսափում է հրապարակային հարցաքննությունից»:
Ինչ վերաբերում է դատավոր Մնացական Մարտիրոսյանին, որը վերջին նիստում մերժեց Չալաբյանի փաստաբանների կողմից ներկայացված ինքնաբացարկի միջնորդությունը, ապա նրա անվան հետ, որպես կանոն, իրավաբանական հանրույթն օգտագործում է «տխրահռչակ» տերմինը՝ նկատի ունենալով, որ նրա կայացրած՝ հատկապես քաղաքական ենթատեքստ ունեցող գործերով դատական ակտերը, որպես կանոն, բեկանվում են վերաքննիչ ու Վճռաբեկ դատարաններում, էլ չենք խոսում ՄԻԵԴ վճիռների մասին: Ըստ այդմ, նրա կայացրած ցանկացած որոշման հանդեպ հասարակության վերաբերմունքն ակներև է՝ առնվազն անվստահելի:
