Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև կայուն, երկարատև և հավասարակշռված խաղաղության պայմանագիր ունենալու համար այն պետք է ներառի Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը։ Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, «Ազատություն» ռադիոկայանի հետ զրույցում այս մասին ասել է ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի ամերիկացի համանախագահ, ԱՄՆ Պետդեպարտամենտի Հարավային Կովկասում բանակցությունների հարցերով ավագ խորհրդական Լուիս (Լու) Բոնոն՝ անդրադառնալով այն հարցին, թե արդյոք Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը կլինի՞ խաղաղ կարգավորման գործընթացի մի մասը։
«Կայուն, երկարատև և հավասարակշռված խաղաղության պայմանագիր ունենալու համար այն պետք է ներառի Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը, և մենք հանձնառու ենք դա ավարտին հասցնել: Մենք գիտակցում ենք դրա կարևորությունը: Նախևառաջ, Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը կլինի խաղաղ գործընթացի մի մասը: Կարծում եմ, որ երկու կողմերն էլ դա ճանաչել են: Բայց, ինչպես ես արդեն ասել եմ, մենք այստեղ չենք որևէ համաձայնագրի կամ պայմանավորվածության շուրջ պայմաններ պարտադրելու համար: Կարևոր է, որ կողմերն իրենք համաձայնության գան: Իսկ մենք կաշխատենք երկու կողմերի հետ: Նախագահ Ալիևը Մյունխենում ասել է, որ ինչ-որ մեկին կնշանակի, որը կգործակցի Ղարաբաղի ներկայացուցիչների հետ: Կարծում եմ՝ դա արդեն տեղի է ունեցել անցած շաբաթ: Եվ ինձ հետ զրույցի ընթացքում նա նշեց, որ պատրաստ է շարունակել այդ քննարկումները: Այնպես որ, մենք լավատես ենք, որ կարող ենք կողմերի հետ աշխատել այդ ուղղությամբ: Բայց դա հեշտ չի լինելու: Այն բոլոր կողմերից կպահանջի շատ ծանր աշխատանք և հանձնառություն»,- ասել է Բոնոն։
