Իսպանիայում անցկացված մրցաշարում Հայաստանի հավաքականի նորեկն 9 հնարավորից վաստակել է 8 միավոր՝ գրավելով առաջին տեղը: 2-3-րդ տեղերը բաժանած 3 շախմատիստները հայ գրոսմայստերին զիջել են մեկական միավոր: Մրցաշարն ունեցել է 128 մասնակից:
