Գերմանական «Deutsche Welle» լրատվականը անդրադարձել է հայ-ադրբեջանական հարաբերությունների խնդրին։ Կայքի հոդվածում ասվում է, որ 2020 թվականի հայ-ադրբեջանական հրադադարը փխրուն է, և Հայաստանի խաղաղ բնակիչները վախենում են նոր էսկալացիայից:

Հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանի հայկական հատվածում տեղակայված ԵՄ առաքելության ղեկավար Մարկուս Ռիտերը նշել է, որ թեև շատ հայեր գոհ են առաքելության տեղակայումից, դիտորդներին թույլ չեն տալիս մտնել Ադրբեջանի տարածք, ուստի նրանք չեն կարող հայտնաբերել. օրինակ՝ զորքերի տեղաշարժը հաջորդ հարձակմանը նախապատրաստվելու համար:

«Շատ հայեր կարծում են, որ Ադրբեջանը կհարձակվի գարնանը։ Եթե ​​դա տեղի չունենա, մեր առաքելությունն արդեն հաջողված է»,- ասել է Ռիտերը։

Նա նաև նշել է, որ իրենք չեն կարող միջամտել․ «Մենք միայն հեռադիտակներ և տեսախցիկներ ունենք մեր տրամադրության տակ»։

Ադրբեջանի ԱԳՆ մամուլի ծառայության ղեկավար Այխան Հաջիզադեն մեկնաբանել է Հայաստանում ԵՄ քաղաքացիական առաքելության ղեկավար Մարկուս Ռիտերի հայտարարությունը․

«Մենք խստորեն դատապարտում ենք այն փաստը, որ ԵՄ քաղաքացիական առաքելության ղեկավարը, հիմնվելով հայկական կողմի կեղծ և զրպարտչական հայտարարությունների վրա, կարծիք է հայտնել, թե Ադրբեջանն իբր պատրաստվում է հարձակման, և ԵՄ առաքելության հիմնական խնդիրը ներկայացրել է՝ պաշտպանել Հայաստանը Ադրբեջանից։ Մենք բազմիցս ընդգծել ենք այս առաքելության չարաշահումները կանխելու անհրաժեշտությունը՝ ուղղված Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի հարաբերությունների կարգավորման գործընթացը խաթարելուն։ ԵՄ առաքելությունը չպետք է ենթարկվի կեղծ և զրպարտչական մեղադրանքներին և պետք է գործի իր մանդատի համաձայն», - հավելել է Հաջիզադեն։
