Իսրայելը երկրորդ օրը շարունակ ավիահարվածներ է հասցնում Դամասկոսին։ Ինչպես հաղորդում է սիրիական պետական SANA գործակալությունը՝ հղում անելով իր ռազմական աղբյուրին, կեսգիշերից հետո՝ ժամը 00։17-ի սահմաններում, իսրայելական օդուժը հրթիռային հարվածներ է հասցրել Սիրիայի մայրաքաղաքի մատույցներին, սիրիական ՀՕՊ համակարգերն արձագանգել են։

Գործակալության աղբյուրի հաղորդմամբ՝ Սիրիայի հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգերը խոցել են իսրայելական հրթիռների մի մասը, սակայն հարձակման հետևանքով պատճառվել են նյութական վնասներ։

Սիրիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունն, իր հերթին, իսրայելական ավիահարվածները որակել է ահաբեկչություն՝ նշելով, որ Դամասկոսի մատույցներում իսրայելական ագրեսիան տարածաշրջանի ժողովուրդների ու երկրների նկատմամբ ֆաշիստական մոտեցման շարունակությունն է։ ԱԳ նախարարությունը նաև ընդգծել է, որ հարկավոր է վերջ դնել այդ հարձակումներին Մերձավոր Արևելքում խաղաղություն հաստատելու համար։

«Իսրայելական ահաբեկիչների ագրեսիան՝ ուղղված Դամասկոս քաղաքի մերձակայքում գտնվող որոշ կետերին, ոչ այլ ինչ է, քան իսրայելական կազմակերպության ֆաշիստական մոտեցման շարունակությունը տարածաշրջանի ժողովուրդների և երկրների նկատմամբ։ Չնայած՝ կոնկրետ այս փուլում դա ներքին պառակտումից խուսափելու փորձ է», - ասված է Սիրիայի ԱԳՆ-ի թվիթերյան էջում հրապարակված հաղորդագրության մեջ:

Նշվում է նաև, որ տարածաշրջանում «խաղաղություն և կայունություն չի լինի այնքան ժամանակ, քանի դեռ չեն դադարել իսրայելական օկուպացիան և կրկնվող ագրեսիաները, քանի դեռ Իսրայելը պատասխանատվություն չի կրել իր կատարած հանցագործությունների համար»։
