ՀՀ ՊՆ նախկին փոխնախարար Արտակ Զաքարյանը գրում է.
«1990 թ. ապրիլի 2-ին Երևանում հիմնադրվեց Հայաստանի Հանրապետական կուսակցությունը: Այսօր լրանում է ՀՀԿ հիմնադրման 33-ամյակը:
Հանրապետականը քաղաքական դաշտում գործող եզակի կազմակերպություններից է, որն ունի տասնամյակների գաղափարական-քաղաքական արմատներ, հարուստ կենսագրություն, պետական շահերով առաջնորդվող բազմափորձ լիդեր, գործունեության ինստիտուցիոնալ բնույթ և կազմակերպական կառույցներ, քաղաքական և մասնագիտական փորձառու կադրեր, սոցիալական հենարան, երիտասարդական ավյուն, քաղաքական հստակ ծրագրեր ու աշխարհայացք:
Հանրապետականն ազգային պահպանողական կուսակցություն է, որի նպատակներն ու գործունեությունը բխում են Ազգի և Հայրենիքի հավիտենության գաղափարներից:
Հայոց գերագույն նպատակը, որ իմաստավորումն է իր գոյության, հարատևումն է Հայրենիքում, հաստատումը իր կենսական ուժի, ստեղծագործ հանճարի ու ազատ կամքի: Այդ նպատակի իրագործման գրավականը Հայ ազգային գաղափարախոսությունն է, որում էական տեղ ունի Գարեգին Նժդեհի ուսմունքը:
Իր առաքելության գիտակցումն ունեցող յուրաքանչյուր ազգ, ելնելով սեփական աշխարհընկալումից, սահմանում է իր արժեքների համակարգը, նպատակներն ու իղձերը, նախանշում իր հարատևման ռազմավարությունը, որոնց ամբողջությունը հանդես է գալիս իբրև տվյալ ազգի գաղափարախոսություն: Հայ ազգային գաղափարախոսությունը կառուցվում է հայոց արժեհամակարգի ու պատմամշակութային փորձի զուգակցումով` ազգային և համամարդկային արժեքների համադրմամբ: Այն պետք է ամրապնդի հայության հավատը սեփական ուժերի ու ապագայի նկատմամբ և իբրև գաղափարախոսական համակարգ` մշտապես զարգացում ապրի:
Մենք դավանում ենք պահպանողականություն, քանզի այն մարդկության կողմից դրականորեն գնահատված և պատմականորեն արդարացված հիմնարար արժեքների, բարոյական նորմերի պահպանումն է: Այն ոչ թե առհասարակ հնի, այլ` հավերժի հաստատումն է: Այն ոչ թե անցյալի, այլ մնայունի պաշտպանն է. այն արժեքավորի, որ ստեղծվել է անցյալում և ստեղծվելու է ապագայում: Այս առումով, պահպանողականությունը ոչ միայն անցյալապաշտություն չէ, այլև` ապագայատենչ է, քանզի ապահովում է պատմության անխզելիությունը, ժամանակների կապը, որով` հավիտենական արժեքների անդադար արարումը:
Հայ իրականության մեջ գործող բոլոր հասարակական, քաղաքական ուժերի, անհատների հետ Հայաստանի Հանրապետական կուսակցությունն իր հարաբերությունները կառուցում է ազգային և պետական շահերի առաջնայնության սկզբունքով, որոնք բարձր է դասում անձնական և հատվածական շահերից:
Պետության հզորացումն է այն միակ երաշխիքը, որն ապահովելու է մեր ժողովրդի զարգացումն ու հարատևությունը, քաղաքացիների բարեկեցությունը, մեր սահմանների պաշտպանությունը, մեր տեղն ու դերը միջազգային ասպարեզում»:
