Ապրիլի4-ինՆ.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունեց Խորվաթիայի Հանրապետության խորհրդարանի Խորվաթիա-Հայաստան բարեկամական խմբի ղեկավար Դավոր Իվո Շտիրի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը` ուղեկցությամբ ՀՀ ԱԺ պատգամավոր Հայկ Մամիջանյանի։ Այս մասին հայտնում է Մայր Աթոռ Ս. Էջմիածին Հայաստանյայց Առաքելական Ս. Եկեղեց ու տեղեկատվական համակարգը։
Ողջունելով հյուրերին՝ Նորին Սրբությունը կարևորեց խորհրդարանական փոխայցելությունների միջոցով երկու երկրների բարեկամական կապերի առավել ամրապնդումը։
Հանդիպմանն Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն անդրադարձ կատարեց նաև տարածաշրջանում առկա մարտահրավերներին, Հայաստանի սահմանների նկատմամբ ոտնձգություններին, Արցախի շրջափակմանը և հումանիտար ճգնաժամին, տակավին գերության մեջ պահվող հայորդիներին, ինչպես նաև Ադրբեջանի վերահսկողության տակ հայտնված հայկական հոգևոր, մշակութային ժառանգության պահպանման խնդիրներին։ Այս առնչությամբ Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետը ողջունեց բարեկամ երկրների, խորհրդարանական և պետական գործիչների ու անհատների ջանքերը միջազգային ատյաններում արցախահայության աջակցության,ազատ և անկախ ապրելու իրավունքի պաշտպանության համար:
Իր հերթին բարեկամական խմբի ղեկավար Դավոր Իվո Շտիրն ընդգծեց, որ Հայաստանն ու Խորվաթիան, լինելով քրիստոնյա երկրներ, ունեն նույն արժեհամակարգը, ինչն էլ ավելի է ամրապնդում երկու երկրների բարեկամությունը։
Պատվիրակության ղեկավարը, իր մտահոգություններն արտահայտելով տարածաշրջանում տիրող իրավիճակի վերաբերյալ, Նորին Սրբությանը հավաստիացրեց, որ Խորվաթիան միջազգային ատյաններում միջոցներ կձեռնարկի գերիների վերադարձման, հայկական հոգևոր, մշակութային արժեքների պահպանման և տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության ու կայունության հաստատման ուղղությամբ։
