Վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ուղերձ է հղել Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակի 108-րդ տարելիցի կապակցությամբ, որում, մասնավորապես ասված է․

«Սիրելի՛ ժողովուրդ,
Սիրելի՛ հայրենակիցներ,

Ապրիլի 24-ին մենք ոգեկոչում ենք 20-րդ դարասկզբում Օսմանյան կայսրության կողմից իրականացված Հայոց ցեղասպանության 1.5 միլիոն զոհերի հիշատակը, և տասնյակ հազարավոր քաղաքացիներ այսօր հարգանքի, հիշատակի և խոկումի երթ կիրականացնեն դեպի Ծիծեռնակաբերդի հուշահամալիր:

Ապրիլքսանչորսյան երթը, թերևս, մեր իրականությունը կանխորոշած ու կանխորոշող ամենաազդեցիկ երևույթն է, մեր պատմության, անցյալի և ապագայի մասին մտածելու մի բացառիկ օր: Ի՞նչ են մտածում դեպի Ծիծեռնակաբերդի հուշահամալիր հաճախ մանկահասակ երեխաների ձեռքերը բռնած քայլող երիտասարդ ծնողները, կամ կյանքի ավելի մեծ փորձառություն ունեցող տատիկներն ու պապիկները:

Նրանք, թերևս, խորհում են երկու հարցի շուրջ. ինչո՞ւ Մեծ Եղեռնը տեղի ունեցավ և ի՞նչ է պետք անել դրա կրկնությունը բացառելու համար: Հայոց ցեղասպանության պատճառների մասին հարյուրավոր ու հազարավոր աշխատություններ են գրվել, ի հայտ են բերվել բազմաթիվ պատճառներ և շարժառիթներ: Ինչ վերաբերվում է նման ոճիրի կրկնությունը բացառելու մեթոդաբանությանը, դա մեծապես կախված է «պետություն» և «տարածաշրջան» հասկացությունների մեր ընկալումներից:

Պետությունը, միայն զարգացած և ինքնիշխան պետությունն է ի վիճակի ապահովել մեր ժողովրդի լինելիությունն ու անվտանգությունը, իսկ պետության կայացման գործում յուրաքանչյուրն ունի անելիք՝ կրթությամբ, աշխատանքով, քաղաքացիական պատասխանատվությամբ ու օրինապահությամբ:

Տարածաշրջանի վերաբերյալ մեր ռազմավարական ընտրությունը հետևյալն է. արդյոք մենք մեր տարածաշրջանային հարաբերությունները կարգավորելու և զարգացնելու կամք ու կարողություն ունենք՝ անկախ այն բանից, կամ առավելևս այն պարագայում, երբ մեր շուրջ առկա անվտանգային սպառնալիքներն ահագնանում են՝ տարածաշրջանային կամ արտատարածաշրջանային պատճառներով:

Բոլոր դժվարություններն ու բարդությունները գիտակցելով՝ մեր կառավարությունը որոշել է գնալ այդ հարցին դրական պատասխան գտնելու ճանապարհով, որովհետև միայն այդ ճանապարհն է, որ կարող է երաշխավորել անվտանգություն և բարեկեցություն:

Սիրելի՛ ժողովուրդ,
Սիրելի՛ հայրենակիցներ,

Այսօր մենք գլուխ ենք խոնարհում Հայոց ցեղասպանության 1.5 միլիոն զոհերի հիշատակի առաջ և խորհում ենք անցյալի, ներկայի և ապագայի մասին: Եվ սա անցյալի, ներկայի ու ապագայի մասին խորհելու ամենապատեհ պահն է»:
