Ապրելու Երկիր կուսակցության նախագահ Մանե Թանդիլյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում տեսանյութ է հրապարակել, որին կից գրել է.

«Ապրելու երկիր» կուսակցությունը պահանջում է Երևանի ավագանու արտահերթ ընտրություններ։
 
Պահանջում է, որովհետև ստեղծված իրավիճակում օրենսդրությունն է այդպես նախատեսում։
 
Երևանի քաղաքապետի հրաժարականից հետո արդեն 2 շաբաթն անցավ, բայց գործող ավագանին իր կազմից այդպես էլ չընտրեց նոր քաղաքապետ։ Այս իրավիճակում, ըստ օրենսդրական կարգավորումների, Կառավարությունը պետք է կրճատի ավագանու լիազորությունների ժամկետն ու, միաժամանակ, նշանակի ավագանու արտահերթ ընտրություններ։
 
Սակայն երևանցիների կողմից չընտրված, բայց Երևանի «ճակատագիրը» իր քվեին ծառայեցնող քաղաքապետի պաշտոնին հավակնողի խոսքից ու գործողությունների տրամաբանությունից արդեն ակնհայտ է, որ ակնհայտ փորձ է կատարվում շրջանցելու օրենսդրությունը՝ չկատարելով օրենքի պահանջը։
 
Արտահերթ ընտրությունները անձամբ իրեն ու իր ուժին ձեռնտուն չեն՝ գահավիժող անվստահության և հիասթափության ֆոնին։ Իրենք վախենում են արտահերթ ընտրություններ անցկացնելուց, քանի որ շատ լավ գիտեն, որ օրինական ժամկետում ընտրություններ անցկացնելու պարագայում երևանցին իրենց մերժելու է։
Այս մարդիկ ամեն ինչի ընդունակ են՝ թքած ունենալով օրենսդրության, մարդկանց պահանջների, իրավունքների վրա։ Պարոնայք, մոռանում եք «բումերանգի էֆեկտի» մասին, թողեք, որ վաղն էլ ձեզ օրենքով դատեն։
 
Ինչևէ, դեռ սպասում ենք Կառավարության խելամտությանն ու պահանջում, որ օրենքը վեր դասեն քաղաքական նպատակահարմարություններից, այլապես, ինչպես արդեն հայտարարել եմ, մեր հանդիպման վայրը դատարանն է լինելու։
Այլևս պատվի հարց է՝ Երևանը պետք է ունենա օրինական ճանապարհով ընտրված օրինական իշխանություն։

16.08.2018 թվականի N 899-Ն որոշմամբ՝ Կառավարությունը կրճատել է Երևանի ավագանու լիազորությունների ժամկետը՝ հիմք ընդունելով 09.07.2018 թվականին Երևանի քաղաքապետի՝ հրաժարական տալու և 16.07.2018 թվականին Երևանի քաղաքապետի արտահերթ ընտրության օրը նշանակվելուց հետո 2-շաբաթյա ժամկետում՝ 30.07.2018 թվականի դրությամբ, Երևանի քաղաքապետ չընտրվելու հանգամանքը, Կառավարության որպիսի որոշումն էլ, ընդ որում, ընդունվել է գործող կառավարության օրոք՝ 17 օր անց։
