Փաշինյանական վարչախումբն անցել է արտաքին քաղաքական վեկտորի փոփոխության իր «ռուբիկոնը», և այլևս հստակ փաստ է, որ ընտրել է Արևմուտքին՝ ձգտելով խզել իր հարաբերությունները Ռուսաստանի հետ։

Ռուս-ուկրաինական պատերազմից հետո տեղի ունեցած մի շարք միջազգային քվեարկությունների ընթացքում Հայաստանը սովորաբար չեզոք էր քվեարկում Ռուսաստանի դեմ բանավեճերին՝ փորձելով խուսանավել Արևմուտքի և Ռուսաստանի միջև, մի շարք դեպքերում էլ հայ պատվիրակներն ընդհանրապես չեն մասնակցել քվեարկությանը։

Երեկ Հայտնի դարձավ, թե ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր ասամբլեան 122 կողմ ձայներով բանաձև է ընդունել ՄԱԿ-ի և Եվրոպայի խորհրդի համագործակցության մասին, որտեղ հիշատակվում է Ուկրաինայի դեմ Ռուսաստանի ագրեսիան։ Բանաձևին դեմ են արտահայտվել Ռուսաստանը, Բելառուսը, Սիրիան, Հյուսիսային Կորեան։ Ձեռնպահ են մնացել Ադրբեջանն ու Ուզբեկստանը, Ղրղզստանը, Խորհրդային միության այլ երկրներ։

Ի թիվս այլ երկրների՝ այս բանաձևին աջակցել են Հայաստանը, Ղազախստանը, Չինաստանը և Թուրքիան։ Ուշագրավ է հատկապես Հայաստանի քվեարկությունը, որը տրամագծորեն հակառակն է Ռուսաստանին և ապացուցում է այդ ռազմավարական դաշնակցի դեմ Հայաստանի գործող իշխանությունների որդեգրած մարտավարությունը։

Երեկ նաև Վաշինգտոնում տեղի է ունեցել ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Բլինքենի, ինչպես նաև Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի արտգործնախարարների հանդիպումը, որն ամերիկյան կողմը բավական կառուցողական է գնահատել։

Մի շարք լրատվամիջոցներ, ներքին աղբյուրներին վկայակոչելով, նշում են, թե երկու երկրների բանակցությունները տևելու են մի քանի օր՝ ադրբեջանական կողմի ակնդետ հսկողության ներքո և կնքվելու է գործողոթյունների «ճանապարհային քարտեզ»։

ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորումը սեփական ձեռքը վերցնելու այս մարտավարությունը, ինչպես նաև դրան Հայաստանի իշխանությունների հաճույքով մասնակցումը վկայում է, որ փաշինյանական իշխանությունն այս հարցում ևս նախապատվությունը տվել է արևմուտքին։ Թե ի՞նչ հետևանքներ դա կարող է ունենալ Հայաստանի և Արցախի համար առայժմ վաղ է խոսել, բայց իրավիճակը հղի է չափազանց վտանգավոր զարգացումների հավանականությամբ։
